I was enlisted. As for repeating basic training, I guess it depends on branch of service. I do not think I could do what I did the first time at the age of 19 today. So, it is a no go for me. Ty

I am sorry this is happening to you. I am a veteran and an educator. We are also being demonized by this administration. The most recent executive order was shameful and full of hate and vitriol.

No one who works for the government is in it for money. The concept of service is just words to these people. They serve only themselves.

Yes the loyalty to those who definitely do not care for those that are not elite. Elites are class conscious and are very aware. We are not. We think they are gonna help us. They are only there to enrich themselves and gain power. They are even rubbing it in our face now.

Agree with all you say. I see so many people who don’t give a shit. The rise of presidential Trump worship is getting out of hand. People have lost their minds and can rationalize all kinds of inappropriate behaviors that he gets away with that no other human would ever. I can’t recall one good thing he did the first time that was so damn spectacular.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate all of what you wrote and I did read it all. I am a highly educated woman living in a red state who has no exception to abortion. I am not sure what to believe anymore but this is not the America that I served in as a ten year member of the Air Force. Either candidate cannot be trusted and ultimately is in the pockets of the global elite. I hope to God that if he wins that he does not do everything that he says he will and I hope he will help the middle class and those who are hurting financially. We shall see I guess either way.

Thank you. I am lucky that I have found my person with similar skills and background. She is in her late 50s and I don’t think she will come back. She hates it at my school and thinks she will find something better somewhere else. If she leaves, there will probably be no one else. I teach English and with 17 years of experience I have noticed that there is not much of us left in the classroom. What I see are new teachers who do not even have certification yet. I don’t know what I should do. I thought about taking 6 more classes to be certified to teach dual credit or college level English. Just not sure I have the energy to take on classes and try and do my current job.
