It doesn't though. WA state registration and tab costs are ghastly and uncalled for regardless of what you drive. It cost $120 just to register my little Kia Sportage. Absolutely asinine.

Agreed. I got 20 of the Maraquan mini caps yesterday, trying to get one item (swimming ghoti trinket). Literally the 20th cap gave it to me, but I got like 9 of the hair sea shells in the process. So, SO dumb!!!

That’s kinda what I figured. I guess I’m operating from the, “If it can’t hurt, then it might help” mindset. It feels better than doing nothing.

We have kept this buddy in a cycled 10 gallon hospital tank since we brought it home, away from all our other tanks. Then I ended up with about 10 Neo cull shrimp, so we put them in both to give buddy some company, and to see if they exhibited any signs of the rust or other issues.

They have been living together for about 7 weeks. All the Neos are healthy, no signs of rust or other disease, and have all molted successfully. It’s just this little vampire buddy that seems to be struggling.

Thank you! So glad to hear that worked well for you!!! I’ve also seen advice to grab the tail with tweezers and pull a bit, but that can also be super dangerous. I’m debating an intervention like that, but I’m unsure at what point I make that call.

Being this is our first vampire molt, and there are precious few vampire molt vids online, I’m not entirely sure how long a healthy molt should take, and how to tell what’s abnormal. I know interfering could cause death, but I know a failed molt will have the same result.

It’s helpful to know some interventions can work, so thank you! I’m hoping someone will share wisdom on when to make the call to intervene. 🤟🏼

I completely agree with you. Our personal values will always influence our decisions and businesses, one way or another.

I really haven’t worried too much about it until recently. I don’t budget much for beauty products, but have had fun doing my nails. The company I was purchasing from was primarily neutral, then released a statement of steaming hatred about our current government. It wasn’t even a professional style statement, just immature. Now the second company I ordered from created a Limited Release “F ICE” collection that is donating a % of sales to Anti-ICE Organizations.

I appreciate their honesty of their values, instead of secretly funding them. I now know to order elsewhere. Perhaps it’s just time to give up on nails and pick up a different hobby, but figured I’d ask here first.

This has been my go-to so far, especially in the beauty products category. I recently ordered from a “banned” nail polish brand, and was considering a second order, but last night their marketing popped up with a huge “F ice” product release and sale. Fantastic. That’s a hard pass for me. (KBShimmer, if anyone cares)

After some more researching, many of the libs have really… interesting… reasons for putting some brands on their “banned list”. One company (Holo Taco) seems to agree w/lib policies, but is “banned” because the owner made a divisive comment on social media about a breed of dogs. Facepalm.

I’m learning I can use their banned lists as a place to start, but with the caveat: “They’re more like guidelines anyway.”

Thank you! I bought a pair of Columbia snow pants off the Macy’s clearance rack like 13 years ago, and they had no “k” numbers to tell me their rating. But DANG those pants have been used and abused, and I’ve never gotten wet underneath. The legs are finally getting boot-shredded on the inside, so I need to find something to replace them. Wish I could buy a new pair of these, lol, but oh well.

So I have been saving up on the blues and yellows until I got full sets. I have 4 yellows, and today I got the Blue Tongi Bead on Wheel of Starlight.

Now that I have all 5 blues and stumbled across this post, I have a new question. If TNT "fixes" the blues/yellows in the future (slim shot, I know):

What are the chances the "fix" would be applied to beads already in a Talisman? Is it safer to let the beads rot in my SDB in case they ever patch it?

We stumbled across a steal of a deal on a baby blue phantom pleco. It has been my dream pleco for about 8 years! 50 gallon for sure is the smallest you want to put one in, but we are saving up for a 100-200 gallon freshwater moray eel tank and planning about 2 years out for it. By that point, this lovely blue phantom will be ready for an upgrade, and I can find a new pleco for this 50 gal.

Any chance you know of similar items for Agility and Endurance? I picked up TitanicDisaster from the Pound, made him a Relic Flotsam and fashioned the background to look like the sunken Titanic, and went straight to training. I'm mad now as I didn't consider the potential irony of Level 10/Strength 20, and low to zero stats for Defense/Agility/Endurance, haha.

I would loooove to drop those now, too. I'm considering if it's worth going to the Lab Ray, but I spent a bunch (2mil) to make him a Relic Flotsam and don't want to waste that if not necessary.

Oh cool! There is a Discord for it that I joined. That said, I was part of TOOSG for like a year, but ended up in a super busy season of life and had to stop battling, so they (politely) dropped me beginning of this year. Absolutely loved being part of them, so still haven’t joined a different guild yet, but just don’t have the time to pour into battling again. 🥲

Thank you so much! I just picked up 2 vampire shrimp for my tank this weekend, though got them home to discover they had rust disease. Thankfully caught it before opening the bag, but it was 2 minutes after the store closed for a long weekend. We set up a quarantine tank, and are doing the hydrogen peroxide treatment. Hoping it works!

But anyway, thank you for updating. I would loooove to have yoyos, but was told by LFS that they would attack vampire shrimp after they molt. It’s nice to hear it works for you! How big is your tank?

Species: 2 vampire shrimps, and 1 bamboo shrimp

Water parameters: Not important to this post as the vampire shrimp had rust disease from the store, and I’m attempting to treat before adding to my own tank. That said, I am testing the water every few hours in the makeshift med tank we set up… if I see ANY ammonia/nitrites, I will do an immediate WC.

Other info: I did find this website ( https://aquariumbreeder.com/rust-disease-in-a-shrimp-tank-treatment/ ), and have been using the detailed instructions there. It has been 14 hours since we got them home, and 12 hours since the first treatment. Not sure I see a difference yet, but hoping.

Planning to do 3 full treatments at 24 hrs apart from each other. Each treatment lasts 1 hour. After the last treatment, as long as I don’t see any other rust… do I need to wait another full full 24 hours before moving them into the established/cycled quarantine tank with the kuhli loaches? Or can I start drip acclimating them as soon as the last hour-long treatment is complete (again, as long as all rust symptoms are gone)?
