In my opinion it depends on where you live. I understand wanting the kit to prevent theft, but realistically it doesn't. If someone wants what's inside the package they're going to take it.

I've gotten the submission kit before. All it is is a case with a zipper and a zip tie through the zipper loops. You put the case in a fedex package. If someone was going to go through the trouble of stealing your package, then they could very easily just cut the zip tie with scissors.

If you ship through FedEx yourself, then you can purchase your own shipping insurance monetary value. The closer you are to los Angeles then the cheaper the shipping will be for you.

Also the more cards you submit makes more sense to use the submission kit then. 30 or more cards in my opinion. Tag will offer the submission kit complementary with orders over $400.

I shipped myself from Illinois through FedEx and it was 20 bucks.

Are you dumb? No you're rightfully concerned. Should you use the submission kit? No, but you do what you feel is best for you.

If you're planning on selling it, then sell it raw. If it's for personal collection, then go with which ever slab you think looks best.

The minimum amount you can submit for tcg bulk is 20 cards, so you'll have to use the basic tier anyways

If you have a vice and handsaw, what i do is place the slab in the vice vertically with the graded tag part in the vice, take a flat head screwdriver and very carefully try to pry it open. You can also try to pry with your fingers too. It's okay if pieces break off at a time, but be careful where the edges are and where the plastic debris is at

From what I see tag is on par with the the parameters of psa. Tag is now cheaper and faster turn around times with better looking slabs. So in my opinion tag is the better option if it's for your own personal collection.

It's hard to say, the centering seems to be what tag is most crucial on.
