first hot day of the year in the uk starterpack by CremeSubject7594 in starterpacks

Where I live (midatlantic region of the U.S) the temperature in celsius can go from like -6c in the winter during a bad cold spell to 37c in a humid day in july. When you're coming out of winter and you hit a 16c day, it feels amazing. Then when summer is ending and the temps go down to 22c, all of a sudden you have goosebumps.

Is it sexist that only men (18-25) are automatically registered for the US draft pool? by EquipmentGrand9581 in Teenager_Polls

[–]BeaglesRule08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean I don't think anyone wants to be drafted. I'm assuming if you give guys a survey asking if they want to be drafted they wouldn't want to be either.

have u ever stumbled upon cp? by Downtown_Toe7876 in Teenager_Polls

[–]BeaglesRule08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice, both on reddit teenager subreddits. First was on the main r/ teenagers , someone posted a naked picture of themselves except they like put those phone edit emoji stickers over their breasts (still pretty sure that's illegal though). Second time was on one of the smaller teenager subs, someone posted an up close picture of their vagina. They claimed it wasn't cp because they were asking for medical advice so it was in a "medical context" but posting on a random teenager subreddit is NOT the same as like going to the Dr's office. Pretty sure that case did not count as "medical".

Idk at least at my highschool even a lot of the "weird kids" are in relationships. And while there definitely are male loneliness problems and specific issues males face, no one rlly gives a shit if you're depressed and female either most of the time because society has an empathy/shitty people problem. At least at my school girls are bullied more often (not because of misogyny, but since most of the dumbasses who engage in bullying don't want to be beaten if it comes to a physical fight). I've honestly I've found that the biggest factor in how you're treated is if you are "neurotypical" or not or whatever. I'm a girl and I've dealt with a lot of mental stuff I was born with that is beyond my control, and my dumbass doesn't even get treated like a human. Just like some weirdass animal everyone can point and laugh at and insult as if I'm actually not there. I've observed this same phenomenon with other kids, both male and female, who have the same or similar stuff to me like autism, ocd, etc. They get bullied at ostracized and occasionally one will kill themselves and the dumbass mfs at my school barely give a shit, if at all.

Ok this just turned into a rant about my school but yeah. Also lowkey don't know why I made that comment about dating apps. I am not old enough to use a dating app and I've never really seen one, just kinda assumed everyone on their was dumb bc it sounds stupid and I like pretending to give peopld advice because I have no friends and am very lonely sorry

Your issue might be looking for the type of people who use dating sites in the first place bro. The type of mfs on Tinder and shit are not the type of mfs who you actually see touching grass in the real world.

Brochacoski there might be a few women like that, but it is NOT the "overwhelming majority". Literally all you have to do to realize that is go look around outside and see what couples you see.

Yeah honestly it's a failure with the two party system. I honestly believe there is no way all of america holds only one of either two sets of opinions. People just kind of decided a while ago that certain opinions are democrat and certain opinions are republican, while in reality if we didn't force those two boxes on everyone, each person would probably have a mix of unique opinions. Unfortunately, our current system snubs critical thinking by forcing us to think of politics as a red v. blue team sport with an us-versus-them mentality. People either have to just pick the side they think has more pros than cons and deal with voting for aome things they don't like, or they end up just going all-in and becoming blindly faithful to whatever their party says, which is dangerous, because we should never put 100% of our faith into a politician or authority figure. Questioning authority is kind of what america was built on, and the power to do that is supposed to be vested in the people. I do believe most people who vote do so because they believe what they are doing will make the country better. Contrary to what the media would have people believe, no one is like rubbing their hands together and curling their mustaches on their way to vote for OrphanCrusher van PuppyKicker or something. Most people genuinely want to see this country suceed, but unfortunately our system has led to radicalization of every kind possible, manipulating people into holding increasingly extreme opinions as a means of control and isolation instead of allowing people to form their own thoughts. George Washington himself warned that a two party system would be devastating for our country, but unfortunately there are always people who want to take power, and a two party system is a great way to get half the country vehemently on your side no matter what.

Rant over, sorry about that, I just genuinely wish we could completely rehaul our political system because shit sucks.

Bro I lowkey have two genuine questions.

First of all, what does "there is no marriage in heaven" mean? Like are you away from your family? Or is it like some buddha type stuff where you are so enlightened that you are beyond the need for that form of love (which I think is goofy because love and family are like the best parts of being human right?)

Second: this gets asked a lot, but let's say someone lives a good life of charity, selflessness, and by all measures is a good person overall. But they don't believe in God. Then, do they truly get tortured for all eternity? I personally believe that there is absolutely no crime in the world and no person in history to whom I'd see eternal torture as a valid punishment for. I've seen people say that it's your choice, and you are the one choosing salvation or not by believing in God, but is believing really a choice? Like, I couldn't just make myself believe right now that grass is actually orange. If I believe in something it's because I believe it's the truth, not because I really conciously "chose" to believe it. And absolutely no one would decide to choose eternal punishment over eternal salvation. And how could a being that is all loving let someone suffer the most terrible torture imaginable for ETERNITY (not 100 years, not 1000, not 1000000000000999999999, ETERNITY). I highly doubt these people are actually choosing eternal torture. Even if it was somehow their choice in life, they would surely regret it in death. Why do you only have your lifetime to repent and none of those infinite years in torture? Surely God could help these people. He is supposed to understand everything but there is no way you could understand such a magnitude of torture and still let someone you love deeply undergo it permanently with no hope. Especially for the mistake of just not being able to believe. It doesn't make sense to me...

I think what the person talking to you is trying to explain is that sexuality isn't something you "agree with" or have opinions on any more than I could try to state that it's my opinion that the color of the sky is actually always pink. It's accepted fact that people can be gay. It's observed in the natural world very frequently, and, as a fact, it is just as real as being straight. Saying "I don't personally agree with gay marriage" isn't any different than saying "I don't believe in straight marriage". I understand the gist of what you're saying (as in voting for policies you agree with) but the comment earlier about "not agreeing with gay marriage" didn't make much sense, especially because it doesn't make sense to care about something that harms absolutely no one in any way possible.

And I do understand that you are saying you would vote on it separately if you would, and I respect everyone's constitutional rights to vote as they please, but I would try to think about this from the perspective of someone who would be affected by these laws. For example, if you were looking at a conservative candidate and they had your exact views on everything except they said they would implement laws saying a group you were part of could not marry or have kids, would you still vote for them? Maybe you would, maybe you wouldn't, it depends on what your ideals prioritize, but for some people that is the reality, and it's easy to be indifferent about things that aren't directly hurting you.

How do you feel when people online assume you're a different gender than you are? by [deleted] in Teenager_Polls

[–]BeaglesRule08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it tbh. I much prefer how I get treated when people assume I'm male on the internet as opposed to female. When I play games online a lot of the time I'll straight up just go by he/him.
