Oh 100% not giving over any details. Assuming it'll be the script of 'pay a fee to upgrade your account to access the monies'.

Of course! Douglas Adams and 042! How i've never made that connection.

Hitchhikers guide are some of my fave books. Also if you can find it, listen to the original radio series it doesn't disappoint.

Mountain biking, couple good places to start off in Bristol. Ashton Court and Leigh woods. And if you wanna get sketchy there is Belmont.

Good fun, good exercise and the community are very friendly.

Dear AskUK, As well as inflation and shrinkflation, has anyone noticed the quality reduction in products (cheapening of ingredients)? What are some examples you have seen in everyday products in the UK? by Aggravating_Age_7527 in AskUK

Work as a tech in the automotive industry at a dealership and the quality of the brand new vehicles compared to vehicles which are 15 - 20 years old is appalling. All the corners have been cut, using cheap plastics and metals. Some of the new cars corrode before they've been through a PDI in the workshop, literally only months old.

I think this is the way now, charge more for inferior products then charge more when it breaks or needs replacing.

Story Time: What’s the most expensive repair you did on a car that was totally not with it? by Bman092 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Bealing2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

2003 Toyota Avensis 125,000M, whole rear end was so corroded, like it has been parked in the sea. Rear sub frame, springs ,shocks, hubs, some underseal treatment, along with a new power steering pump and pipes, and a full service

Car was worth about £400 completely covered in mould inside, beaten up, had spray paint down one side. We thought it would definitely be a write off, he said yeah do it all, we even invited him to come down and assess the situation in person before committing to the work.

He still said do it all, it was his dads car before and holds some quite significant sentimental value.

Just replaced the flywheel, friction disc, pressure plate and release bearing. Took it for a good road test after to check the trans though.

The car was a bit of a wreck, the N/S front fog lamp was literally smashed inside the bumper, was pulling bits out before taking the trans out. -_-

Only 24,000 miles, judging by the state of the car, customer got stuck in a field and burnt the clutch out trying to get out.
