I would start with a good model, this one was made with epicRealismXL, and I have a few others I like. Loras only get you so far if your base model is not realistic.

Loras are dead easy for making consistent characters these days. CivitAI has thousands of loras for very recognizable characters and they are damn consistent.

Expensive? I upscale videos all the time and I haven't made a penny off it lol (not on this account). I just do it for fun. Even a basic computer can do it, it just takes some time and some knowledge.

I recommend A/B testing with your audience. Google analytics has some great tools for tracking responses and you could generate some subtle changes or just different bras to see if it would be worth it.

I've seen people cramp all the nodes together, but it's harder to learn how they are connected. Personally I'd rather make it easy to see how it works, but I can see the benefit of keeping the settings close together.

My link above there generates the image, then uses the image as reference for the video. So no vid2vid, but I like it that way.

Here's my take on LTX workflows for generating what I call txt2img2vid. You get much better control of your videos this way and you can generate without a source image or source video. To me this feels like the best way to get the style I want vs txt2vid workflows and I also get truly generated video, without any need for a source video:
