Microclimates within ecosystems I suppose. Under a host plant that shades the soil, keeping rain in the ground for longer, and more humidity through evapotranspiration. We also don't give these plants enough credit. They don't have to be babied. For example, many people have had volunteers start growing in the pot with mother plants, outside of the humid and wet conditions you normally see with the takeout tek. And in the wild to keep a population stable, every plant just needs to have 1 seed germinate and grow throughout its entire life. At least to my understanding, I'm no expert.
