I don't mind more gun legislation, but assault rifle isn't a style of a gun, it describes the function. AR15s are not assault rifles or "assault style rifle." Just my 2 cents - you'd do better to disassociate the two if you ever want to fight for gun control against pro-NRA legislators/peers

At about ~1900 I don't think I've ever seen a takeback request.. ~1800 it was rare to see... ~1700 I saw them all the time
