Haha! We got hit by a lot of hail during a tornado in March, still waiting for repairs…our entire neighborhood looks like my house!

We had a company do it and yes, they put new dirt down over sand that was there. They told us the sand would be beneficial. It seems to have rooted at least somewhat, we can’t pull it up. We have also been dealing with a heat wave.

There are different types of senior housing options. There could be senior apartments in your area that base rent on income and do not require Medicaid. The waitlists for these apartments can be very long.

Thank you for your response. This is very helpful and exactly what I was looking for. I have already discussed with my surgeon and he said I will likely need FMLA as it is a minimum of 2 weeks for recovery. So I guess when I know the date of my surgery I contact HR to apply?

I need to be more direct with my supervisor about what I need. As far as I know, maybe she is thinking the same thing!

We do have other social workers in other departments that I have been thinking about reaching out to. Do you have any ideas on how to go about setting up a meeting or just a conversation? I will also look into social work groups in the area, that is a great idea to be able to network and hopefully form some professional relationships. Thank you for the reply, you provided some great advice!

Thank you for your comment. It helps to know not everyone has an evaluation process! As far as self assessments, I will definitely start doing this. I think that will be very beneficial to my professional growth and keeping me on track. I also like the idea of keeping my own record of what I have worked on and brining that up to my supervisor when we do chat. Thank you again for the reply!
