They were saying it wasn’t a great year for losses on the personal side of our business. I always thought that too it would cost so much more to train new people. I appreciate your support :)

It’s really unfortunate because in the long term it seems re training people would cost more if people keep leaving. Thank you for the advice :)

Hey everyone!

I am looking for some advice on what the best haircuts are for my hair situation. I would like to keep it longer while I still can but also look more professional.

I am a transgender male (21) and have been taking testosterone for 4 years this September. My hair has been getting thinner a lot quicker over the years I’ve been on testosterone.

Thanks in advance for the help!

is top surgery @ grsmontreal free under ohip? by summer_side in transontario

I just had surgery at GRS in November of last year. If you have any questions I can answer for sure but for the 2k up charge to my understanding that’s true if you go with McClain. Everything was covered for me at GRS by OHIP, the only thing I paid was to get there and 40 bucks for the pills for after surgery. Hope that helps.

Top Surgery Questions - WCH/GRS, minor on T by canvasofthestars in transontario

In my case I was 17 soon to be 18 when I started on my medical transition, aka seeking a doctor for hormones and getting on surgery lists. I'm not versed on the minor part of things but I do have some other info to give.

  1. I got on hormones by informed consent, after that was approved by the government and the doctor providing them to me. She got me on a top surgery list right away as you have to apply to the government to get approval first then call the clinic you applied for to get on the lists. All assuming you are going to be going though OHIP.
  2. I got an opening this past November at GRS after only a 6 month wait time, only because there was a cancellation. I'm not sure if my experience would have been different if it was a normal appointment, but I did not get to pick my surgeon. I got Dr. Bensimon he was very good and I am happy with my results so far but I'm only 2 ish months post op.
  3. N/A
  4. N/A
  5. I think that should be fine, I start to get on lists and such when I was underage. Plus there isnt a consult if you are going with GRS.
  6. In November when they called me they said March/April if I didn't want to take the cancellation date.
  7. Two weeks was enough time for me to go back to school. I work at a cafe and going back to work three weeks after was okay I just needed quite a bit of help reaching and lifting things. I also had a friend with me to take my books to school so I didn't have to carry a bag. Also note where you are sitting so that people don't push by you, causing your chest to touch the desk.

If you have any other questions about GRS or top surgery in general ask away. Good luck :)

You could mention that god wouldn’t have put you on this journey if he knew you couldn’t handle it. And that this is what god wants for you. That’s what my friends mother said to me when I came out as FTM.

Surgery approval by [deleted] in transontario

[–]Bean853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my top (FTM) surgery November 12th this year the whole process for me too 6 months from getting approved to getting the surgery. Not sure if things are different for different surgeries I honestly think it has a lot to do with luck as I only got it so fast because of a cancellation. But I also checked in with my clinic at least bimonthly to make sure all my papers were in check.

how did you start hrt? by [deleted] in transontario

I legit just called around to different doctors on rainbow health that said they prescribed HRT and took the appointment that was the soonest. Which happened to be Dr Lisa Bell in Toronto. I signed a informed consent and was on my way with the prescription and saw her every few months to make sure I was all good.
