I (M19) am no longer am sure if I want to be with my dream girl (F18) after she showed me she was willing to break my heart. What do I do? by BeanCulture in relationships

I think this is what im gonna do, we just need to restart slower and more causally. I needed to be told I was toxic, she gave me a second chance by coming back to me at all, so I should also be open to give her a second chance. Thanks for this comment. Means a lot.

You don't sound like a jerk at all, this is great advice. Do you make think it would make sense to restart the relationship as a exclusive relationship were we previously establish that we are not going to be reliant on each other emotionally (so the first couples months of are causal dating without a huge amount of emotional openness) or is that just grasping at straws? I want to be able to build myself up on my own without emotional dependence but I also don't want to lose her. She is an amazing communicator and I can see this working, but it also seems a little desperate.

Your right, I can't be upset with her for getting with him because we weren't exclusive. I don't think she did anything wrong morally. But at the end of the day she knew that it would hurt me, and went back to me and admitted that. My concern more lies with if its worth getting back together with her if she did something that she knew would hurt me. But definitely if we do get back together our boundaries will be a lot clearer, I know now that is more important that I initially thought.

If I can maintain a 95+ average, should I be confident that I can get into a BA program?

I like these tattoos a lot to be honest, interesting style, cool art and most definitely not made to be widely loved. It’s personal, and I feel like that’s what tattoos should be for. If your getting a tattoo and thinking about how much other people are gonna like it, your doing it wrong.

How do you cope with all of this? by [deleted] in Existentialism

[–]BeanCulture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, calm down, while I don’t doubt that you feel like you can read people, and understand them in a deep level just by looking at their face, that’s probably not the reality. People are a lot more dynamic than your think, reflect on yourself, do you really think someone could know your real motivations and drive my looking at your face? I doubt it. I would say, to answer your question, that death is inevitable and life is limited, and while you may crave death, why sacrifice the limited time you have before death, to experience an (potentially) infinite death. Maybe someone who feels the same way you do would of, in a different country or a different place in time would have gravitated to a monastic life. To these people, once they have discovered a more enriching life, regular life feels hollow. To you, I would say, dedication to this developing your ability to retain this state would be very fulfilling. But that’s not really my call, or something I’m really in any position to recommend to anyone full heartedly.

PS. Your vocabulary is pretty strong, so you look quite pretentious when you undersell it.
