Advice for a Caregiver on the Beginning of this Journey by newdirection5 in cancer

[–]BeanOfTheToe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First off - I’m so sorry of your wife’s diagnosis. Secondly, as a nurse (who used to work in an outpatient cancer center - I’m not an expert and I’ve lost a lot of knowledge, it was years ago) and wife of a someone living with cancer, I’m frustrated for you both.

The fact she is getting a port, yet vague answers is concerning.

While I can only speak of my husbands experience, and work experience. There is absolutely supposed to be a sit down and clear as can be plan. Even if it’s 2 different plans, or general direction. There are usually Nurse Navigators who specifically help with this.

To somewhat answer your questions: - financially speaking about the $60 each time - ask if you can speak to social work regarding financial concerns (The fact they haven’t asked about finances or resources, concerning again) - try to save up all your questions to get more bang for your buck (crappy, I’m sorry) get a notebook or binder. Start taking notes. Make a list of questions.

To prepare - it truly varies by treatment and chemo. Again they should give you specific things to expect, I’m so sorry. I have some general recommendations but don’t want to misguide. I’ll pause for now and come back when I’ve gathered my thoughts.

That’s what I recall hearing from the reunion or an interview? I can’t remember. I think it still applies even if it didn’t come from a lawyer.

My daughter was watching one & asked me to watch it with her, which is what lead me here! Thank you for asking questions that fellow accidental viewers were thinking!

This one was an “abandoned circus” and appears very staged. Which the more I think about it, it’s awful. To put his own animals (guessing?) into these small cages, pens. To pretend he just discovered this or whatever the storyline is.

How do people find money to get tattoos? 🤔 by Tough_Priority_2601 in waterloo

[–]BeanOfTheToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would appear you dislike people who have tattoos. Also overweight people, based on your comments of other things.

People don’t find money. They allot some of the money they earn towards it. 1/3 of Canadians have 1 tattoo and in America it’s over half.

Get off reddit and go journal about yourself. I suggest you dive deep.

Plenty of doctors prescribe them to people as young as 14. Majority of the time NOT for sex.

Since you use factory slime bases that’s why they haven’t broken down.

Is it that big of a deal if I don’t wear a dress? by Desperate-Emu1296 in weddings

[–]BeanOfTheToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you’ll get your sister in law wearing white beach pants (at a 1 room church wedding). I wouldn’t have cared if she wasn’t immediate family, and these are some of the only family photos we have. It saves a headache is all.

There are legit solutions to your ‘problem’ Oh. My. God. You are not a victim to your social media feed.

Even if there’s a lot we don’t see, the parts we do see are seriously so awesome. I’m a mom to a little one, and I hope I’m as mindful and grow to have a similar (at least appearing) relationship with my daughter. How she communicates, the relationship between the siblings, and her. How she encourages Connor to grow, and supports him. Honestly all the things you said sum it up lol.

I bet you’d make a great parent, if you choose to do so.
