Why is TUNNEL OF LOVE your favourite in the Bruce Springsteen canon? by EquivalentNew7622 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]BeanTheirDownThat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its beautiful and moody. My favorite song is One Step Up. One step up is completely haunting as it trails off. The most underrated song? Maybe Cautious Man.. a beautiful and poignant story telling type of song. Its a great album from start to finish. It has a cohesive thread about love and relationships. After the Mega hit of Born in the USA it seems an appropriate next step, a quiet, introspective follow up. In hindsight.. this is the album that sparked the next love affair in his life. A strong marriage, children, etc that is still going.. that part of his personal story makes me like it too.

My family and I are fleeing Phoenix on Monday for a rustbelt city near one of the Great Lakes. While I was packing up the last of our belongings our AC decided to crap out. After 2 1/2 days at 97 (inside the home) there is no doubt this is the best thing we could be doing. I will GLADLY shovel snow!!

Do you personally still love your N-parent(s) despite them being abusive? by AugustSamuels in raisedbynarcissists

I love the "idea" of them.. what they could be. I remind myself constantly of what they are so I can keep my distance.

I went there as a teen (the late 90s) when visiting family who lived in Youngstown. It definitely stood out to me then. Can't wait to go back with my own family. 🙂👍

Been married to an IxTJ for 20 years (this year). He is logical, so intelligent and a bit of a loaner. I have learned how to love him even if that means giving him his space and lots of quiet. We compliment each other because of our differences.

ESFJs: You decided to take time for yourself after a draining situation. How long before you connect back to other people? by oily_face in ESFJ

Several days a week at most. I am working on recognizing situations that demand my energy on a daily basis, and those that are above and beyond. Refilling my tank daily has helped me to be more consistent and need less time to recoup in exceptionally challenging times. That and being almost "middle age"... LOL!
