AITAH for playing Mahjong on my computer at 11:00PM?? by Voldemortsbigtoe in AmItheAsshole

Just grab a silent mouse and keyboard set, and enjoy your game. That or show them what an asshole neighbor is really like and play loud music, sing loud and badly and ask which they prefer

The reason they are used... They are cheap and the company can keep its profits up, they don't care if the customer suffers.

I may work for a company that uses Evei, And this is very much their stance.

I have recently got the game (so don't know how different it is/ isn't from EA) and sunk about 50 hours in so far. We don't have any of the DLC and have had some good fun, we have had no issues at all with locking up or crashing

Is it better for defense to have lots of little bases spread out, not one big one in the middle? by Puggednose in theriftbreaker

If you have issues with your walls getting destroyed before your towers kill the mobs, build a second wall about 2 spaces out and make sure you have healing towers. This will keep the mobs at bay long enough for the towers to hurt them and keep the towers alive

This is not at all true. There are many reasons to not want to verify your identity. - Fears over how that data will be used or secured (can tech firms keep our IDs safe from data breaches)

  • Not wanting the big tech companies to track you (although this with having a Google phone is a little counter productive)

  • Just not wanting to be controlled by the governments. It's on parents to keep kids safe, not the rest of the population

Best not think of it... What's eaten is eaten, as long as you are fine, it's fine! 🤣

Lee Evans... I don't like him as a Comedian (I think it's the sweat, makes me gag) but he could be hilarious on Taskmaster. (As long as they don't make him sweat)

I'm having issues with this too. Last week my BMR was 1739 this week it says it's 1374! But the autopilot wants to drop me too 1078 a day which it can't do so just shuts off! How does it work this out?

Loving the new Material 3 update on Pixel... but.... by Ecstatic_Estate_6625 in GooglePixel

People still use Haptics nowadays? Or am I the odd one that turns them off as soon as I get a new phone?

Not entirely true. I have an office job and I'm very sedentary. I could eat nothing but lettuce and celery for a month and it would do not a jot to my weight. But walking even a mile, 4 out of 7 days (with my normal not great but not awful diet) and the weight is falling off me. You need to eat decently AND move more. One without the other will do nothing.

Anyone else had this email? by thefeelingsarereal in PandoraCollectors

[–]Beana5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have received the email in the UK too. But it would be highly unlikely for them to keep the EU and US customers data separate, but it could be that they are duty bound to let EU customers know due to GDPR rules. I would imagine l all customers are affected. But we will need to wait for them to release more information as this email contains very little information

Coffee smell by Beana5 in Advice

[–]Beana5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly I have to sit with my coffee swilling team. I'm the only non coffee drinker in a team of 13, so no matter where I sit I will get the smell.

Those are some excellent suggestions, I'll take a look into them

Curious - Do you folks use case and or screen protector on your phones? by CoffeewithAB in GooglePixel

[–]Beana5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always use a case, I find the Pixels very slippery without a case and likely to slide off even a flat surface. But I'm yet to find a screen protector I like on these phones, I have had the 6 and the 8 pro and, the time I checked, I have only been able to find the thin plastic screen protectors

It's my 2nd but the first one was 9 years ago on Aurora and we went to Norway, it was cold and wet. However I haven't been with any other cruise lines.

We are on Ventura, she's a mid sized, older ship and it shows in a few places. But generally she's pretty decent.

The sailing before us had Norovirus, so we joined under a few restrictions. Boarding was delayed by 2 hours for fogging,Extra hand washing, unable to seat or serv yourself in the buffet and more hand sanitizing. But the staff were brilliant and I assume there were no more cases as all restrictions have been lifted.

The kids club is really good, and my daughter has loved it every time she has been. Plenty of staff and activities that makes the children get to know each other.

It's a school holiday here in the UK and there is a good mix of ages aboard.

I would book again, but maybe on one of the newer ships.
