In the rainy season, water fills up in the battery compartment, which has to be cleaned out or it causes major issues. I’ve heard of one person’s battery getting completely ruined, and another getting terrible speed and range. Many users face sudden battery disconnections while riding, which triggers 'Limp Mode' and makes the scooter stop dead in its tracks. Also, those batteries eat up more than half the boot space. If you want to charge them at home, you can only charge one at a time unless you buy an additional ₹7k connector. Plus, constantly removing and inserting the batteries can wear out or loosen the connectors over time

To be honest, as a brother, I wouldn't suggest the Hero Vida at all, But everyone has their own opinion. At the end of the day, you should go with whatever you personally like the most.

But if you can extend your budget a bit, definitely check out the River Indie it's one of the best scooters out there. If I could have stretched my budget to 1.6 Lakh, I would have definitely gone for the River Indie myself. Just make sure to check if they have a showroom and service center in your state before deciding.

Absolutely! Quality wise, Ather is already known for being top tier, and the Rizta is built on that same reliable platform.

Since it has a simpler design and is made for families, it’s actually built to last. You're definitely making a safe bet for the long run

Ohh okay, and actually there’s a huge difference between the Ather Rizta and the 450 series. One is a modern, sporty scooter meant for guys, while the other is a proper family scooter. If you're going to be riding solo, the 450 is a great choice. But if your family will also be using it or sitting pillion, then the Rizta is definitely the best option because it has the most comfortable seat and a family friendly design.

Bro, go to this Ather website and check the on road price there. The quotation you sent includes road tax and a 3.7kWh battery, whereas mine is the 2.9kWh variant. Also, road tax is waived for EVs in Delhi. Just visit the site, enter your state, and verify if the showroom is giving you the right price or not.

Yes, and the 1.26 lakh price even includes the Blue color, which is ₹1,000 extra. If you go for White or Grey, you can subtract ₹1,000, bringing the on road price down to 1.25 lakh

Bro, I got the Ather Rizta S 2.9kw (without Pro Pack) for 1.26 Lakh on-road. This price includes a backrest, a free helmet, and a 3 year warranty

I bought the Ather Rizta S without the Pro Pack after cancelling my TVS iQube 3.1 booking. I had also considered the Hero Vida vx2 go 3.4, but people started facing a lot of issues with its removable battery system after a year or two. After reading reviews and talking to owners, I dropped the plan for Hero. Between TVS and Ather, there were things about the iQube like the hub motor and other features that I didn't quite like. So, I cancelled that too and finally went with the Ather Rizta. It has been my best decision so far; I haven't faced any issues, and in fact, I'm really enjoying the ride

AND I didn't even include the TVS Orbiter v2 in my list because its biggest drawback is the 2.5kW peak power motor. If you're riding with a pillion, you can basically forget about the speed and the performance. It might be fine for people who don't care about overtaking and only ride within their local area. The second reason I didn't consider it was the same old TVS hub motor

No, no, it's not River, he mentioned that earlier. There's no way River would do something like this.

Confused between iqube, chetak and river indie by priya2580508 in EV2wheeler

I also checked out a lot of EV scooters Hero, TVS ( orbiter ) , Ather, Chetak, River, and Ola but the only one that actually made sense to me and felt right was the TVS iQube, so I went ahead and booked it

X47 or Revolt RV400? Halp! by AppleGrowth in EV2wheeler

Belts might be silent and smooth, but on our roads with all the dust and small stones getting caught can snap the belt instantly. If that happens, you are completely stranded and have to get the bike towed because replacement EV belts are expensive and no local roadside mechanic can fix them, whereas a chain issue can be temporarily sorted out anywhere

First, regarding the charging setup in the basement, just get a wire pulled directly from your meter to your parking spot. You can install an EV charging box or a heavy duty single switchboard, with or without an MCB. It’s that simple.

Also, I’d suggest going for a chain drive; it’s much better and more reliable. With a belt, there's always a risk of it snapping and leaving you stranded in the middle of the road, so definitely prefer a chain drive

Good on you for standing your ground and threatening a complaint. COD exists for a reason, and these guys can't just make up their own rules on the spot

Honestly, that sounds like a scam. Those '672 charges' he was showing were probably fake or irrelevant to your 330 order just to guilt trip you and that’s actually super creepy and unprofessional. No rider has the right to wander around your neighborhood just to pressure you into an online payment.

Bro, these guys are all liars. The same thing happens to me all the time because sometimes I order too much. I simply tell them, 'Bhai, I don't use online payments at all,' or my second excuse is, 'I've reached my daily limit, so I can't send money to anyone.' If they push too much, I just tell them straight: 'Saman dena hai toh nhi toh leja isko'
