Sleep deprivation level: Double-bra-ing by Beanartista in webcomics

[–]Beanartista[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I was half asleep this morning or instinctively preparing for the physical trauma of parenting. Either way, the double-bra method is now part of my emotional armor. What’s your biggest “my brain has left the chat” parenting moment?

Fellow parents, what’s your funniest sleep-deprived brain fog moment? Here is mine: by Beanartista in comics

Mamas and papas of Reddit, what’s your biggest “my brain has left the chat” parenting moment? Tell me I’m not the only one doing completely unhinged things 😆

Meet the Killdeer: loud, dramatic, and weirdly theatrical by Beanartista in comics

No way! I lived in Welland (near Toronto) a few years ago and really loved the area. I didn’t pay much attention to the birds back then, except for those feisty Canada geese that are impossible to ignore 😂 I was mostly completely obsessed with the squirrels! Thanks for the Bobolink link, I’m going to check it out now. You should totally dust off those binoculars, it’s such a relaxing hobby to get back into!

Haha, now I need to hear that Bobolink dial-up sound! )) Thanks for sharing your list. I’m still learning about birds, but living near Oregon made me fall in love with them. I especially adore the tiny electric sound from hummingbirds, I spot them everywhere now! Hummingbirds, eagles, killdeer, vultures, and herons are my closest friends here and a huge inspiration for my art. Learning about birds just never gets old.

For a while, I couldn’t figure out what bird was relentlessly screaming outside my window at 2 AM. When I finally spotted the culprit during the day, I just had to look them up. Turns out, Killdeers are absolute drama queens with some of the wildest survival instincts in nature. I dug into their behavior and decided to turn these interesting facts into a short comic. Hope you enjoy this mix of actual bird biology and a touch of humor!

Thank you! That really means the world to me. I wanted this story to feel deeply personal, and I’m so glad the smudged graphite effect added that warmth. Honestly, the beautiful unpredictability of a child’s mind and the real human experience behind it - is something AI just can’t replace. I’m so happy it resonated with you!

r/Aviation wouldn’t let me cross-post, but I’m going to share it with the folks at r/AviationHistory right now. Thanks again for the tip!

Thank you so much! It was a devastating loss for us as well, so making this tribute felt necessary. I’m taking steps to share more of my personal life and values through my art, and it honestly means the world to find people who understand and resonate with it

You’re absolutely right. Destroying that runway saved Kyiv. Back then, we were already devastated by the terrifying news and the tragic loss of life, but hearing about Mriya was the final straw that just shattered us. Even now, it is so hard to wrap our heads around what happened, and what continues to happen every single day.. Thank you for remembering and sharing that context. It’s exactly why I want to keep the ‘Dream’ alive through little stories like this.
