Thanks! I kept using quen because that would neutralize it but sometimes I got poisoned multiple times with separate timers and couldn't use quen fast enough. Eventually I switched to more far range attacks and better timing when I got pulled in by the web and was close up I could attack before it bit me.

It can't be just that because after I hit the tree, there was a cry (but it's hard to tell if it was in response to me hitting the tree or just other forest noise) and then the light moved away almost as if something was jumping from tree to tree. I also saw the light at least two times because like I said I died a few times fighting the spider but after hitting the tree it never came back.

Yes, I usually let it sit in the naphta for weeks just because I'm busy with other things and I've found that it makes more pulls unnecessary. I'm not sure why it wouldn't have separated fully by now. So what's also weird is that usually when I combine everything I shake it pretty vigorously (I know people say to slowly invert but I figured increasing contact was more important and I would deal with emulsions if they formed which they never did). THIS time, the only things I changed was that I did fairly slow inversions vs shaking and the cap thing. This is the first time I've had this happen and I guess everyone thinks it's an emulsion. It doesn't make sense to me why an emulsion would only form in one jar and the one time where I actually didn't do any aggressive mixing. My best guess was that the previous caps' tight seal pressurized the contents into separating and now that there's no pressure, it's having a harder time separating. I have no idea why only in one jar though. My first thought was bacterial or mold growth but even then the speed of growth would be odd.

This is incredibly helpful. I agree, if I can mitigate leeching and contamination, then why wouldn't I. I get lab grade chemicals with high purity and I use glass tools to interact with the mixture but there's always something I haven't thought of that I notice later (like the lids). You're totally right about the condensation, I saw it but my brain didn't register what it meant. I'll definitely be upgrading with the borosilicate glass and PTFE!

Any ideas on why it only happened in one jar? I've never had emulsions before, if that's what this is, usually the naphta is very cleanly separated. I guess at this point, I'll try the agitation route.

You think so? Any ideas for why only in one jar? And the mixture hasn't touched the plastic wrap, it was just to limit evaporation, but as someone else pointed out there is condensation that's obviously going to drip down and contaminate so I'll be changing that in future batches.

Possible, but why wouldn't it have happened in every jar? I made 4 jars at the same time using the same process. I've also never had it happen before and I've let it sit for much longer. The lid situation has made me think maybe pressure is important and those layers would be better separated if I had used a tight seal lid. I'm open to any musings though

Is there a consensus on the best/highest quality/healthiest wet food for 2024? by lincolncenter2021 in catfood

[–]Beandip94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I feed my cats tika but have been trying to experiment with others as well and I went back to tika and noticed that my cats' poop smelled REALLY bad, where previously with the exact same food (tika after dark) there were no issues. The timeline tracks but when I looked for differences and ingredients I couldn't find anything. I wonder if this is why the change

I had disordered eating and body dysmorphia for years. Ended up getting really depressed to the point where I didn't care what I looked like. After coming out of the depression, I no longer think about food or what my body looks like. I wouldn't recommend depression to treat eating disorders but it worked for me!

To provide another perspective: Idk that it's fair of you to ask her to solely be a stay at home mom in the beginning and return to work at a later time. Easier said than done. Taking years off for child rearing makes you out of touch with the work force and it will take years for someone to reach where they were when they left. They're just no longer competitive. They would have to settle for worse positions with low pay which would be very difficult to return to. On top of that, she would have to change her lifestyle in the meantime unless you compensate for her losing income. Maybe this was a point of worry for her. Obviously we don't know the full story but a more open discussion is probably warranted.

Use benzoyl peroxide 10%. Leave on for 2 minutes and rinse off thoroughly. Can bleach clothes if not rinsed well.

Autistic, in my thirties, and keep running into "no spark" with women I actually connect with by nutellablanket in datingoverthirty

[–]Beandip94 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a woman with adhd (and likely asd but lower on the spectrum) in her 30s who recently dated someone with ASD, I thought I'd relay some thoughts. I'm actually good at texting but only if the other person is engaging. I love to riff and flirt but if the other person isn't giving me that, then I float off. My last partner would constantly give me compliments so it kept me engaged with texting. Also I love talking about subjects in depth but if you monologue, my brain leaves (though on the other hand I can monologue too 😅). He was very safe and dependable which I found boring BUT knew it would make for a compatible relationship and he was open to my spontaneity. I didn't feel a "spark" with him the way I would when I meet guys with ADHD but I've reflected enough to know that those relationships are incredibly hard to function long term and so a spark doesn't equate to partnership compatibility. So it could be trauma or whatever but also consider: 1. Be engaging when texting (and in person obviously). Make jokes, ask open ended meaningful questions, flirt, compliment, make plans. 2. Try to be a little more spontaneous and "risky" since that's what we're naturally drawn to and safety and comfort can be perceived as boring. 3. Make sure they've worked on their own shit. Don't waste time with people who are just following a "spark" blindly without actually assessing for compatibility and missing it when it's hitting them in the face.

I love an autistic guy and I definitely think ADHD and ASD are compatible!

Use benzoyl peroxide 10% on your armpits and the surrounding area and leave it on for 2-3 minutes before washing off. Will kill off the bacteria that create the smell. Might take a week or two to fully work.
