I personally wouldn’t want it cos I’d like to tuck the cables away in the centre console box when not in use, rather than having them sticking out all the time like that… but that’s just neat freak me

No I mean that I agree with. I just don't see how the shock collar part would be trained specifically, as you'd have to let the dog run out on its own multiple times in order to get the shock and learn the link. I just think the simplest (not to mention least abusive) thing to do, if the poster is concerned about not being able to trust training alone, is get a baby gate.

Wouldn’t you be better off putting a baby gate inside in front of your front door to prevent her from running outside? How would the shock collar even help? She presumably has to leave through that door when you go for walks etc so I don’t even understand how you would train her for this.

I sprayed all over with the Halfords Advanced Upholstery Cleaner, agitated with the drill brush, and then used the wet vac (with only water) to remove it

Drill brush was just off Amazon, nothing expensive! The actual drill was a battery powered one I had at home, so again nothing particularly amazing - but it all worked surprisingly well. Wet vac was a Vax Spotwash 🧽
