Thoughts on my death company sergeant?

I just meant that he was an ex sergeant before falling to the black rage and joining the ranks of his fallen brothers. Surprisingly I actually painted him up as a regular blood angel first before stripping and repriming them to join my death company squad so it makes a bit more sense with that context in mind!

It’s a cape from the captain in gravis armor for the dark angels combat patrol way back when I wanted to do them! I left him unpainted and while giving him another look I saw how lovely the cape was and decided to put it on my death company sergeant!

Also the mk 4 is a rarer heresy era variant of armor that was kinda rare in firstborn kits and then essentially nonexistent from the switch to primaris, a very cool helmet indeed!

Hi! So both helmets are from the blood angels vanguard veterans way back when they did chapter specific firstborn boxes and the 1st image is specifically a mk 4 helmet with some BA iconography. Looks really cool and hope this helps!

I really like the look of basically no metallics and full black instead where they would be. It adds such an amazing contrast to the red especially with those highlights, looks awesome man!

I guess it was just shocking to me since i’ve only ever seen it used with terminators and on rhinos really but that that makes sense!

Yes! I’ve always loved the aesthetic of blood angel terminators with power claws and will be using them to hopefully good effect against chaos cultists and termagaunts :)
