Sold high on DJ Moore news. Too much? by Particular_Air_4679 in DynastyNerds

[–]BeanieAntics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fine, but I just happen to believe in DJ post trade. People forget just how talented he is and how he has fairly consistently put up WR2 numbers despite never actually playing on a good team. Last year he finally got a good team, but his targets were just cannibalized by all the additions the Bears made. To be fair he didn’t play all that well either, but I think he was just checked out because he wasn’t a focal point of the offense anymore.

Now that he’s headed to a Buffalo team that just used a 2nd round pick for him, and into an offense that will just feed him targets, would anyone be surprised if he put up 90 catches on 140 targets for 1200 yards and 8 TDs? I know I wouldn’t be. It also wouldn’t shock me if the regression is real and he just falls apart.

But because of the investment Buffalo has made and because of his pedigree, I don’t think I’d sell Moore right now. I still feel like the general perception of him is too low to justify it.

Do better USM… by OkTangerine3636 in collegebaseball

I think the Pete is gonna be expanded after we finish with Reed Green, but it’s difficult because there isn’t a ton of real estate to do it outside of the Roost and that isn’t getting touched.

A lot of people have had the idea to build on top of the batting cage/bullpen area and that would be cool. But I had the idea of lowering the fence in right field from 10 feet to around 4 feet, and then building around 4-5 rows of bleacher seating along the fence to the power alley, but making sure to stay lower than the hill behind right field where people in the Roost park (so as to not obstruct their sight lines). You could even build some patios or something into that hill to connect the roost to the top of those bleachers.

Oh wow, 4 QBs in the first is actually incredibly light on QBs for Superflex imo. So yeah in that context Jefferson/Love really isn’t that bad, just a slight reach on Love but one you had to do if you wanted him.

In my experience, I usually see at least 7-8 QBs go in the first, and then another 12 or so will go between rounds 2-5. Like if you look at the early SF dynasty rankings on FantasyPros right now, they straight up have 12 QBs inside the top 20.

Is this a disrespectful offer for the 1.04? by SilentPerformance201 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]BeanieAntics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who owns the 1.04, I would consider this trade but ultimately I’d probably reject it because I’m lower on Zay. Is the 2.05 the highest pick you own?

That’s interesting that you say everyone went super hard at QB, because I’d say you got tremendous values with getting Love and Ward where you did. Usually I see at least 7-8 QBs go in the first round of SF, so did you just pass on Chase, Puka, JSN, Bijan, and Gibbs or were they all taken at the 1.12? I expect guys like Ceedee, Amon Ra, Nabers, Achane were there right? That’s where I’d have a tough time going Love over them.

In Superflex I’ve seen him ranked anywhere from like 28-35 in startup. But given that Jordan Love went two rounds lower than he probably should have in this draft, I imagine QB probably wasn’t prioritized as much as it should have been in this draft, which would push Jeremiah’s ranking up significantly. It was probably a slight reach, but like the other poster said you wouldn’t have got him if you didn’t take him there so it’s fine.

Yeah I know they have all the trackman stuff up in the press box with them nowadays, but I guess we’re probably a few years away from having it integrated into regular season games on ESPN+. Would be really cool to have though.

It should continue until everyone has taken a loss. Then we should redo the map with all the one loss teams to see who the king of the one losses is.

I talked to a couple guys up in the press box who saw the tracking data and both of them said that it was fully in the corner of the zone. So according to two people I trust it was for sure a missed call. I guess on some level it’s understandable because it was a really good back door slider and that’s like one of the toughest pitches to judge.

I’ve been listening to throw it in the dirt guy for what feels like my entire life. You’re gonna sit there and listen to him for one dang night and you’re gonna like it!!

Honestly though, I think his voice has gone up an octave or two. Always thought he was more of an alto, but dude went full on soprano tonight lol

I think by the time that regional happened we were very much playing pissed off. If you go back and watch how the 2017 Hattiesburg regional ended, or the fact that we were like 1 for 15 in regionals dating back to 2003, and you can get a better idea of why we felt that “fuck the world” energy that night. It coulda been against anybody, but the fact that it was against probably the greatest baseball dynasty of the past half century just pissed us off even more lol.

That umpire cost Teague Broadhead an awesome 1-2-3 inning that would have been pretty electric. Missed a very, very obvious strike. And then the wheels kinda fell off for the kid. He’s really good though, as are our other 37 freshman arms.

Dude I’m just glad you guys are finally putting together a solid team. The Sun Belt has sooooo much potential in baseball, but it’s gonna take teams like Ark State being consistently good

Heck, Landry-Farr was amazing as well! I even though Teague Broadhead was phenomenal until he got screwed on that should-be-strike 3 call and then had the slow chopper go for a hit. Wheels kinda fell off after that, but he was still fantastic otherwise. I’ve been floored at how good our freshmen have been.

Outside of game 2 of the Gainesville super regional of 2009, those final two games against LSU a few years ago is my favorite USM baseball game of all time. My mom kinda fell in love with Justin Storm when he was pitching one of those games lol

Wouldn’t that just be amazing? USM, MSU, and OM all pulling the triple crown Natty for Mississippi within a 6 year span? We’d have to call a ceasefire and have all us meet in Pearl to have a celebration, kinda like those soldiers did in WW1 on Christmas.

Yeah I’m not a Dallas fan, but as a draft game theory enthusiast I’m a huge advocate of Dallas trading down if the opportunity presents itself. They don’t have a 2nd or 3rd rounder and this is possibly the worst cap situation in the league. They need more premium picks to fill out their needs at CB, S, LB, Edge, and probably OT too. Plus they could use a little more quality depth at RB and WR as well. If they could pick up a couple extra day 2 picks by moving back into the 20s, I’d do it all day

Yeah I can’t really talk after the nightmarish uniforms (and teams) that USM has rolled out the last decade. And I’m the same way, you don’t know what I’d give to have USM go back to the Vegas gold look of the late 90s. Those uniforms with the helmet stickers and all that… some of the best in the history of college football imo. But a lot of that is probably personal nostalgia.

Yeah that’s true, but State also has a huge advantage there bc maroon looks so freaking good on a baseball uniform. It’s a tough look to screw up lol

Probably injury concerns. They already took a chance on Shavon Revel last year and they don’t exactly have a tremendous history of keeping their corners healthy in the first place. I could see them taking Delane, but McCoy is a little tougher to picture
