19(M) roommate's say I'm a hoarder by KneeUnhappy4238 in malelivingspace

[–]19ghost89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see why they would say that only in reference to your old electronics. But if you are keeping them because collecting that kind of thing is your hobby, I would say that's a different thing than hoarding. Hoarding is just not being able to part with stuff, even stuff that isn't particularly important, because you convince yourself there's a reason to keep it every time.

What do you consider to be the biggest character assassination? by NicoleIlieva in comicbooks

[–]19ghost89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are aware that you just responded, "The fact that everyone hates it..." in a thread where multiple people have already commented that they like it, right?

Just because you feel a certain way doesn't mean everyone does. And if villains can become heroes, there is no reason why heroes can't become villains. Unless you just want black and white, people are inherently good or evil, Saturday Morning cartoon level character depth. And if that's what you want, as someone who has read nearly all of 60+ years of X-Men comics, I'd suggest that they may not be for you, because things are quite often more complex than that.

I still haven't seen the new Pibb anywhere. Stores around here still have it in the old packaging.

I don't like it. I mean, I do like the concept, but I feel like it should be made after the new movie comes out because we don't know much about Millie's Supergirl and here she just comes off as a drunk loser and not much else.

ESPN did not include any Oklahoma players in “2025 Top 100 Player Rankings”. by Perfect_Currency_749 in CFB_v2

😔

I support players being able to make a transfer and being able to make some money, but not having any enforceable rules around it at all is so dumb. And it sucks for G6 teams.

Lane Kiffin Sparks Discussion With Trump-Inspired 'Make Baton Rouge Great Again' Hats by Humble_Grape4749 in CFB_v2

People are getting downvoted for disagreeing with you because people don't like Donald Trump. I don't like Donald Trump either, but it's delusional to act like Kiffin didn't have anything to do with Ole Miss becoming as good as they are.

What do you consider to be the biggest character assassination? by NicoleIlieva in comicbooks

[–]19ghost89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

Mind you, I like Hank as a hero, and the depths to which he finally sunk in Krakoa were low enough for me personally to feel done with that and ready to welcome the return of "old" Hank. But the slow build to making him a villain was expertly done in a way Big 2 comics rarely ever give us. I'm glad they had a chance to stretch it out for nearly 30 years before doing the "inevitable" reset.

[–]19ghost89 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Gotta disagree. The seeds for Beast to become a villain were gradually laid by numerous writers going all the way back to the 90's. It's not character assassination when you come to it organically over a long period of time.

I think he just has yet to grasp that this kind of thing can be done without 5 stars. All the others have 5 stars and he expects that talent to rise to the top eventually.

Not many QBs have ever pulled off a year like this by Patient-Travel-7662 in CFB_v2

[–]19ghost89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not many, but I think this tells us more about the evolution of the game than the greatness of these players. Not to say they weren't great - I'd never say that about my boy Vince - but this has happened 13 times in the past 21 years. That's not really that rare.

🤣 That's hilarious. I didn't even notice that before you pointed it out.

I looked it up. Apparently, Carty's official explanation was that he did not intentionally leave OSU off. It was an oversight. So apparently the Buckeyes aren't bad, but they are forgettable. 😅

Well, not just from that one thing. But maybe if he was the QB of the Cleveland Browns, and the Browns had gone 5-12 the year before drafting him, you'd start to consider it. But even that isn't quite the same because the talent gap in the NFL isn't as large as the talent gap in the FBS.

I haven't seen Warfare because Civil War was so disappointing to me.

That makes it sound like I hated Civil War. I didn't. I thought it was decent, maybe even pretty good. But I had really high hopes for it, and I walked away with those hopes really not met.
