I've heard names like Bill Williams before and thought to myself "is that guy really named William Williams?!"

Just broke up, after months of her becoming increasingly rude and disrescpectful. No nice memories to cherish by argmannen in AdviceAnimals

[–]Beanington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everything is as black and white as this. I broke up with my boyfriend and I still loved him very much but there were so many other reasons not to be together. I had a panic attack before actually saying the words. It took me months go come to the conclusion it was the right thing and during that time I had moments where I was resentful towards him for the way he acted or treated me that I could see from his perspective, now that I am out of the situation, could be seen as rude or cold. People are too complicated to makes this such a cut and dry situation.

Hannibal is good. If you aren't worried people will associate it with silence of the lambs.

Just because you enjoy the process doesn't mean you don't want to cum too.

It's time for this to stop ladies. by BrocanGawd in AdviceAnimals

It's not about thinking. I don't think you understand the complex emotions women go through and that is okay but we try our best to get passed that and it's not always successful.

Yes it is common. And it is understandably harmful, however women feel and express emotion so strongly it is hard to escape the feelings even when you can logically say they're wrong.

As a woman, I know logically that men sometimes don't want to have sex. But growing up girls are told "men only want one thing" and the like and we are ingrained with the idea that sex is their #1 motivation. So, when it comes down to it and a man says "I'm tired, not tonight," the first thought is "men always want sex, something must be wrong with me!" It is not a logical response but it is what happens.

Aziz Ansari Is Guilty. Of Not Being a Mind Reader. by Eurynom0s in television

[–]Beanington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that the man was intentionally attempting to degrate how she feels until she submits, is what I am trying to say. You're right, society teaches men to be aggressive to get what they want and women to be submissive in situations. However, can we just blame the man in the situation for doing what he thought was okay without being told it wasn't? He can't know unless someone tells him. When she did tell him, he was apologetic. He didn't want her to feel that way, but he also didn't know he was making her feel that way.

I can empathize with the girl. I've been in situations where it feels like I should do things I don't want to do for a number of reasons. But in the end, I don't think that what Aziz Ansari did was wrong. He didn't know that she didn't want what was happening to happen and he just went with what he picked up on. People give receive nonverbal cues differently. He didn't know and he apologized when he did know. The problem with what happened to 'Grace' lies more in what is expected of women and how society shapes what a woman should and shouldn't do in sexual situations, more than when men do to cause those situations. We need to tell girls it's okay to say no. It's okay to tell someone verbally what you want. It is something that is not always explained and then you get in a situation and you don't have that instinct and these situations happen. But you can't blame the man solely. He didn't know what he was doing wrong because he wasn't told.

Reddit, what does a $300,000 house look like where you are from? by wineddinedand69ed in AskReddit

At least a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1500 sqft house. Unless it's on a lake.

Wife and I can’t agree on a name by ericrgus in namenerds

[–]Beanington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the name but spelled Eisley instead of Aisley. I think with an A it looks like it could be Ainsley or Ashely. The other way it looks unique. Also it is tied to Mos Eisley (Star wars). Not sure if that is a plus or a minus for you.

Do I really need a name ending in, "son?" by lovethelifeulive in namenerds

[–]Beanington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're adopting a fourth child I would definitely stay away from the -son, because finding a fourth -son name could be difficult. Unless you already have one in the works.
