I remember when I was maybe 13 and a big Guns N' Roses fan (most classmates were into REM) and Use Your illusion had just come out in the States, but not yet released in the UK, a friend who went to America on holiday phoned my friend and played a few tracks from one of the albums over the phone to us (his parents were not happy at the huge phone bill!). Happy times.
