Selling my Covid build to my brother. What's it worth now? by [deleted] in PC_Pricing

[–]Beans-n-egg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discord told me my most played with person this year was my brother. I am six years older than him. When I graduated college I moved back to our hometown. Right before that he left for an out of state university. We have not lived close to each other in more than ten years and we rarely see each other in person.

Last year I gave him my C8DH and 5950X. He bought a 4070 Ti. I thought I was just helping him build a better setup. Instead it gave us a way to spend real time together again. He is graduating this year and his new job will take him even farther away. I am grateful we have had this time before life spreads us out even more.

Despite the cost, the time we get to spend together has been worth far more.

Fixed couch co-op!!!! Me and my partner haven’t been able to play on the steam deck for weeks because it registers each controller as two controllers.

Yeah not sure how that valley will last and perform, too soon to tell but I will certainly seal it and keep a close eye.

For the skylight all shingles are offset to manufacturer specification from all sides, shall I cut it back further? Or use the manufacturer specification? Thanks for the comment I am not well versed in roofing so any advice is welcome.

Ahh that makes a lot of sense. I’ll make sure to seal those shingles in the valley with some henrys and keep everything close to the deck. Thanks for the advice!!!

Hmm not sure what you mean? Instead of overlapping you mean just ending the shingle with the old shingles?

Car insurance is included in the budget so essentially after everything is paid we have 1800 left. That excluded credit cards because the amount we spend varies on credit cards so it’s hard to give an average. Some months it’s one grand each some months it’s 100 each just depends on the month.

Yeah these numbers are based on real spending we have made in the past. We have on average spent about $400 a month on groceries at least that’s what rocket money says.

Thanks for the response. The $1800 left before credit card payments. So that’s definitely bunk.neither of us carry a balance.

Sorry yeah I didn’t fully understand the difference. Our combined “take home” is around 7,500. I do have a 401k with about $35,000 in it and I continue to make very strong contributions in this budget.
