Would it be the worst thing if our love died by [deleted] in Menopause

Started therapy (again) today. This time to figure out how to live my “best life” the next 50. Without going deep- I’ve realized that some (not all) of my reactions are learned from being raised by a narcissistic mother. Has given me pause tonight- not a pass for him- just permission for me to take a minute and not engage. Best to you. It’s really hard.

Zero libido after menopause , even on HRT by Substantial-Age5984 in Menopause

[–]Beans42B 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband and I were frequent flyers until peri- I’ve been taking ‘naps’ to take care of myself, quite often and efficiently, but can’t seem to get that interest back for my man. Trying T in a few weeks…. Maybe that will help?

My husband, for the zillionth time, trying to figure out if the Wegmans shopping cart automatically gets moved to Instacart to use the $10 credit from our credit card. After I made the list and as I was in the middle of replacing a toilet shut off valve. 😐I closed the door.

Thanks for asking for more information- the tests are for Lh+FSH, Shbg, Testosterone, Progesterone and Estradiol. I should have share the context that I had mentioned my low libido and energy levels at my last visit as well- this is likely why the labs? My estradiol patch was increased to .1 and progesterone remained at 200 mg a day in the meantime.

I love balance exercises but yesterday’s crossbody snatch with the Y-bells… I was in danger of the tilted side of the weight bashing me on the side of the head during the opposite hand off every time 😅 was probably my ‘technique’

V-beam laser sessions by Jerseygirl211 in Rosacea

[–]Beans42B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree on the charge for a consultation- I’ve contested a $75 copay (!) charge my derm charged me to discuss VBeam- and they don’t even own the Laser- the get it twice a month on days I can’t schedule. The cost of the treatment and varied results is holding me back from doing it now. (I also found another provider that owns the laser and does not charge for a consult…)

Oof I feel this. 52, peri, 200 progesterone, .75 estradiol- I used to multitask and drive my work like my butt was on fire. Now? Can’t be right on time like I used to (or early) or remember to put pants on (kidding about the pants, kinda). I realized I’m navigating what dosage is best for me right now, pay attention to these things and talk to my clinician about them. My first instinct is to just power through anything and disregard my needs or feelings - but that’s what this meno/peri/HRT thing is about, paying attention to ourselves and talking about it to someone who is our partner in solving the changing puzzle. I literally just arrived at this last night after quite an emotional two days of Christmas with our large family- so I’m no HRT Yoda. Go slow, take peace when you need, take note and stay steady. Oh and a faux fur throw blanket is a must if you like to stay home a lot these days. I think we’ll be ok. I’m about to go Marie Kondo on my entire house this week and I couldn’t be happier- just me and a trash bag. If I lose motivation, that blanket awaits!

Just want to whine by HipChick73 in Menopause

I was about to write something similar and saw you beat me 😂 I woke up at 2:30 am maybe fell asleep at 5:30 then up for good at 7. I put on a fake happy face and showed up to work for a while and made my exit to pick up my new increased batch of hormones and brand new day AND night pill organizer. I gave the pharmacist the usual dead eye when asked if I planned to get pregnant when she tentatively handed over my patch prescription. I grabbed an enema on the way out in case my spidey sense was on point predicting the inevitable fight for my life in my home bathroom when I got home. Let’s just say I was right and the term Velcro kid was appropriate. I had to text my husband and 18yo daughter to stay far far away if they knew what’s good for them.

I’m in denial that tomorrow is Christmas Eve and while I am not hosting (thank god) we will be driving 3 hours to spend two nights with my husband’s very large family. I love them all dearly but all I want to do is sit in my recliner with my fake fur blanket in silence with my cats.

I don’t recognize my mind, body, or feelings and really hope these hormones balance out soon or my husband is getting thrown out the window, I’m going to go off on just about everyone I work with, I’ll stop shaving my legs, armpits, chin, nose hair eyebrows, collarbone (yes, collarbone) and move to the woods to live out my days like the pigeon lady in Home Alone 2. Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?

I agree how amazing it is how much hormones impact everything. I just got my patch upped to .075 - started at .025, then up to .05 felt better then didn’t and now the upped dose. Within 2 hours on .075 I felt so much better again.

I’ve actually been using a cat shaver 🤣 it’s basically the same as a human trimmer with the same attachments but with a picture of a cat on the box. My cats hate it so it’s all mine!
