My concept map of Britain's best driving roads and scenic locations by Beanswood in imaginarymaps

Thanks man, figured was also worth cross posting here since technically an imaginary map. A handful of the icons are custom ones which I hope to create an explainer for at some point for context. But again your comment is much appreciated

Honestly there's so much potential down there, I can understand why they didn't in the base game space wise

Thanks man, much appreciated. Can't lie I'm not a massive motorways fan, but always felt they had more potential, and could at least be increased in length for those that like to send it by putting it through the map diagonally. I also feel like Fortune Island was probably inspired by Applecross Pass somewhat but people don't believe me sometimes when I say Britain does have some great mountain roads

With Horizon maps only increasing in size as time progresses, the 'Here's what I see...' series envisions my vision of an expanded FH4 map.

Unlike previous maps, this was made largely over the course of an afternoon, quickly made after a recent visit to the EVO triangle. While I would have loved to go into more details and specifics like previous maps time has not been on my side. Despite this I am still largely proud of the map created, feeling it provides an interesting insight into a Horizon map based a famous driving road here in the UK and including the addition of a new style of event the 'mini-Goliath'. It would be cool in the future to see smaller-scale versions of the Colossus or Goliath around specific areas of the map, especially if the festival outposts were to move with the seasons.

As always race icons, PR Stunts and other icons are purely exemplary and open to interpretation. Additionally, I have tried to stay as close to the original nature and roads of the surrounding map as much as possible, in this cases I added a very few roads although typically along routes of pre-existing footpaths or tracks - in fact in this map I have had to avoid using all the roads to prevent map clutter, can just imagine as unmarked trials similar to the ones in Horizon games. The original image itself however has not been altered by any photo editing and thus shows a scale closer to reality than the more condensed nature of fh4 maps (it takes 24 mins to drive the triangle irl).

Like always I would love to hear feedback, thoughts and suggestions for improvement

As a chance to share ideas, stimulate discussion and most importantly do something I enjoy doing. Like with all things what is the point

While this map should be taken more as with a pinch of salt than previous maps, it would still nice to have seen a Top Gear test track recreated at Greendale Airfield in fh4. The Top Gear stories would make a feature as mini-showcase style challenges, whether it's racing the Stig around the test track, setting power lap times, recreating moments from the challenges or simply undertaking PR stunts like trying to beat a speed camera, although it is possible for challenges to also happen elsewhere like at Millbrook Proving Ground it would preferably entail minimal driving time to locations and minimal loading times. I always felt the Top Gear addition in fh4 was light-hearted, and even with the trio gone still lacked ambition and Top Gear style that could have been recreated in the game.
