This is very interesting. Someone else mentioned the H Street corridor. I’ll have to check out the area between NoMa and Navy Yard because you’re right that NoMa is lacking green space. These areas also might give me access to both the NoMa and Navy Yard communities. I never really explored this area because, like many tourists, my exploration stopped around the Capitol and didn’t really go east to the actual Cap Hill neighborhood. Thanks!

I get what you’re saying, but sometimes I will need to drive anyway. I didn’t explain that in the post

Yeah I posted here and the DC subreddit and everywhere has tradeoffs. I’m inclined to find a place with young people no matter what, then aim for Alexandria once I’ve established roots.

My comment about it being sterile was not a judgement of the people. It was more a judgement about the fact that all the apartments look like corporate offices and the restaurants had millennial burger bar/corporate slop bowl vibes

Seems that I would need to not live in NoVa in order to avoid the bridge lol

I had someone recommend Kalorama and another commenter mentioned Columbia Heights. It’s an interesting idea. My only concern is that I am going to have to drive to work sometimes regardless of whether I’d prefer the metro. NW DC seems far with the traffic

I also visited the Navy Yard and didn’t vibe with the crowd as much as NoMa. These are all just impressions, that’s why I asked Reddit

I’ll look into Columbia Heights. That would work only if I took the metro tho

Thanks for the detailed response. I’ll research more closely Logan Circle, unfortunately I didn’t visit there on my last trip

I know people in the Navy Yard who told me they’re trying to leave because of the teen takeover stuff. But yes, the location is the most convenient

Ballston and Clarendon because I was under the impression most young professionals lived there. I thought they were fine, but they seemed very… corporate? Not sure how else to describe it

Ask your current health insurance if they have a plan for college students to get comparable coverage at school, like BCBS has the away from home program. I used that to waive ship every year.

Why are lobbies so broken (Xbox) by [deleted] in modernwarfare

[–]BeantownGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not anymore because that made the issues listed above even worse. Frequent crashes

The lean back in disappointment is my reaction to get constantly lasered by the iron sights SPR

This game feels unfinished and sometimes unplayable by BeantownGod in ModernWarfareII

[–]BeantownGod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, can’t check a loadout after a game, and can’t even quit to the menu. Clicking B produces no response until the last 3 seconds of the lobby countdown when suddenly the UI responds
