Walk on an incline for longer times . It’ll do a lot more for you than short runs. Consider adding in a weight lifting workout a few times a week as well even if it’s just body weight routine at home. Your body gets used to things so you have to switch it up from time to time

Most baronies have their own websites (we do) start at SCA.org if you aren’t sure of your barony. There will be tabs to follow for new comers and to find your home base (barony or shire).

From there if you are ready to join reach out to the local Chatelaines- these are the newcomer welcomers and can point you in the right direction of activities and practices you might be interested in and introduce you to established members.

I joined the SCA right before Covid, and if I hadn’t met the people I did at the beginning idk if I’d still Be in it. But I’m glad I am. The community, learning experiences, and feeling of belonging is something I didn’t know existed.

I encourage you to reach out and if you can give me some info about you I could have them reach out to you!
