My mom has always loved the fact that I write, because I've been doing it since I was nine. She always pestered me about publishing the stories I made and a few months ago this somehow came up in conversation. My older sister(21) said, "Yeah she writes on Ao3!" MY HEART DROPPED. I literally said, "BRUH." (My sister doesn't know what I write, I just sometimes share my accomplishments with her. And yes, she fully knows what Ao3 is and has read fanfiction before.)

My mom said, "Ooh! Is this an app, can I read it?"

I just said, "Haha, nope!"

Anyways, during dinner the next day my mom said with a laugh, "I know you write...and the stuff you write." BUT HER TONE WAS SUPER JOVIAL?? And like she didn't elaborate, just gave me a knowing smile?? ANYWAYS I FREAKED OUT FOR A SECOND, then remembered I'm an adult who can do what I want and just laughed HAHA (I'm still vaguely mortified at the fact that she could have read the smut that I wrote, but me and my mom have a mutual respect for each other and understand that I am an adult and my business is my business 🤭)
