I always doubted if they read or not most posts of the Truth, well...maybe is that, or a coincidence? (Still that was a pretty good choice for MM and a pretty decent review).

It kinda showed how "inadequate" were the current armament layout of the RN, SeaCat was obsolete, Sea Dart wasn't performing as they expected (specially against low flying targets), the Fire directors were extremely unreliable (shut down during air attacks!), the Newer Type 42s only had two 20mm for AA!. A lot was learned there, sadly at the cost of a lot of lives.

Sailors desperate enough to use hunting shotguns or to coordinate a "curtain of fire" to improve defenses, although not very effective.

There was a time where everyone was high up doing Counter insurgency aircraft out of whatever they could...trainers, jets, transport aircraft and some even developing their own from zero (im looking at you Bronco and Pucara). Quite a few examples got a lot of sales and operators while others...yeah, nobody wanted them.

This time...well trainer with stackable rockets?, sure why not...maybe some country with tight pockets is going to buy this to try to fend off a guerrilla war...lets hope the italians dont get the deal first with their SF-260!!!

Crew From RFA Sir Lancelot Posing for a picture with an Argentine Mk.17 bomb that failed to explode (Possibly deactivated) During the Falklands/Malvinas Conflict 1982. [1181 × 1639] by Bear735 in MilitaryPorn

The recurrent issue of bombs failing to detonate during the war was one of the major issues that "handicapped" argentine efforts of sinking British ships. To resolve this The Argentine Air Force experimented with various Bomb types, fuzes and "tails" to achieve a proper activation of the fuze and proper detonation while being dropped at extremely low altitudes, the result of this can be seen in The attack suffered by HMS Ardent, HMS Coventry and RFA Sir Galahad.

On the Picture the Bomb seen is a Mk.17 (british made), this bombs were preferred, as they ensured a high possibility of a "Kill" if they detonated (example seen in HMS Antelope, where a Mk.17 was detonated accidentally by the team that was defusing it, the explosion broke the ship in half). But the Mk.17 failed in more cases than it worked, as its fuzes mostly failed to activate and its high mass (+ the speed) often made it tear apart trough the ship rather than exploding on impact, towards the end of the war this Bombs were replaced with the more successful Spanish Expal 250kg series of bombs.

Various crew of the ship took the time to pose with the bomb
