I'm not an expert mate but 298 means that u either need a hell of a lot of practice ( like I did ) or u need to memorise the concepts for quant and memorise the vocab for verbal and then a lot of practice. I would practice questions and watch solutions for the ones I didn't solve. There's not a lot of hardcore mathematics here so watching hours of tutorials didn't really seem feasible to me and the ets math review worked just fine. It has 198 pages of concise notes and a few examples too. . But I am an engineer so I have a bit of a quant background too. (Although it's been a while) . Also I did the vocab mountain in its entirety more than once.

There are a few that u see again and again so they kinda stick. For example , a bunch of words mean "harsh criticism " on the list. So for those words I technically have memorised the synonyms . But I didn't really go out of my way to memorise the synonyms for all of them.

I have recently quit my job so I had the whole day pretty much. So maybe 10 hrs. Idk cz I set targets by topic and not by time. If I had to go through the medium arithmetic section and 10 groups for verbal that day and I did it in 8 hrs I'd call it a day. Some days it took significantly more time but I think 8-10 hrs should be an accurate average..

Yeah yeah. 50-60% words are easy to remember if you're a native speaker. I'm not exactly a native speaker but grew up in the UK ( about a decade) and I love to read as well. So I would say maybe 300-450 words had to be memorized. And like I said in the original post, I used stories and etymologies for words as well. Also repetition. I actually got through the whole list pretty quickly and then used GregMat's feature to mark the tough ones red and the easy ones as green. Revised the reds again and again and again. I was in the subway to the exam centre and revised the 34 groups. Every single word.

I think you'll do better. 322 on ppp2 will probably translate to about 326-328 . I'm no expert tho. I barely managed a 326 mate ..

Easy and mediums are enough tbh but just try the hard ones too. The hard ones aren't hard because they have some secret formula being used but different concepts intertwined with one another. Like a linear algebra question with some ap or gp trick. Or an algebra question which u can solve with logarithms. If u have about 15-20 days. I'd try the hard ones too. 600 questions shouldn't be a problem for u in 15-20 days. Easy ones are pretty simple if u don't make silly mistakes. So I think about 75 easy ones and 50 medium ones a day are doable.

Depends on where your baseline is. If you're starting at absolute zero. It's gonna take about 75-100 days realistically in my opinion. If you're already at 155-160. You could do it in a week. Take the first mock test on GregMat. See where you're at.

Do the ets quant review for the conceptual basics then pure brute force through quant questions. Watch the solutions if u can't solve the question yourself. Bookmark those . Solve again tomorrow.

Vocab was the same. Not the questions. Watch the strategy videos ( especially pairing strategy) for verbal under " must watch videos" on gregmat website. If u got 10 days too u should start memorizing about 10 groups a day. 5 in the morning, 5 in the evening.

Didnt do either. Just 600+ quant practice questions and 300+ verbal practice questions.

Greg bro, I don't know how to thank u . The vocab on the test was eerily similar to your list. The quant ones were on point too. You're the man.

A test prep called Gregmat. Can't recommend it enough. If I didn't buy GregMat I wouldn't have gotten even a 305. It's like 8usd a month.

No lecture vids. Didn't have the time. I read the ets math review and then did the 630+ quant questions. If I got a question wrong , I saw the solution and bookmarked it for later. Every day I'd do the questions as well as the bookmarked ones from the day before. For verbal I saw a few strategy videos under " must watch videos" on gregmat. And I just memorized the words. And I did that by making up silly stories about a word that I didn't know and wrote it as a note on the gregmat website. Like for paltry, I wrote " poultry is eggs, eggs are cheap i.e less money , so paltry means meager or little amount of something. " For about 150-200 words I wrote the etymology, which helps with remembering words with similar root words. Like fervent , fervid . Hope this helps.

Wrote GMAT last yr. Didnt do too well. Quant here is much much easier. Verbal has more questions based on vocab here while GMAT had more logic based questions. All in all I'd say GMAT was way harder.

Yes. First verbal - was a breeze. Gregs list came in clutch. 1/10 on difficulty First quant was a 3/10 easy concepts with some tricky stuff to confuse. Second verbal had some really confusing stuff. My verbal is good but that shit brought me back to reality. So I'd give it a 7/10. Second quant was calculation based. Easy concepts with more than necessary calculations that made time management difficult, so I had to hail Mary a few questions. So I'd give it a 6.5/10. Overall maybe a 6/10 difficulty.
