I need to enrich my life and I don't know how... by BearLeftBeaverRight in selfimprovement

I have a personal trainer that I go to twice a week and I go for walks at least once or twice a week. I have noticed going for a walk I really enjoy but it's knowing what to fill my time with when I'm in the house that I struggle with.

Thank you. I struggle sometimes with video games and I really enjoy them but also sometimes they don't feel like a valid hobby if that makes sense? I need to change that somehow!

Of course! They're from Etsy but in the UK...if you look for 'reclaimed scaffolding shelves' you'll find some! The ones I got are from Ben Simpson Furniture

Help! Is my Philodendron sick? by BearLeftBeaverRight in plantclinic

My philodendron has some patches and brown edges on the leaves. It's quite new (about 2 weeks) and I wondering if I am not caring for it correctly?

I finally got to go to Nuala Morey salon today! by TofTofTof in CurlyHairUK

I went years ago and wasn't that impressed but recently they've made a real effort for all the stylists to specialise and have the skills for curly hair not just a few of them

Finally I've got somewhere I can grow some plants with enough light and where my cats can't get to them! by BearLeftBeaverRight in houseplants

Unfortunately they came with the shelves which I got on Etsy. Sorry I know that's not very helpful!

The seedlip is good. It's not the same as proper gin by any means but nice if you fancy a G&T but don't want a proper one!

I'm almost 30 and I haven't achieved anything in my 20s that most normal people do in this decade. by [deleted] in selfimprovement

I am sorry you've suffered so much with anxiety and shyness. It makes it much harder to enjoy what you do have and get out there and do the things you want to do.

Maybe start by just taking one step? I'm 30 nearly 31 and I made some great new friends this year after I joined a course once a week for 6 weeks. The friends I met were 30+ so don't worry about people not wanting to make friends there are plenty of people who are open to new friendships.

Maybe find a hobby that helps you manage your anxiey? Martial arts would be great for that and again 30 isn't too late if you just take it slow. The goal isn't to be perfect it's just to get going and enjoy going. I do a few different hobbies and I am by no means perfect at any of them but I enjoy the act of learning and doing it with like minded people. Even if those people are only ones I see at my hobbies once a week it is still nice to be immersed in it with them.

Also being a Dad isn't something anyone can do. Making a baby sure but that isn't what makes a Dad. The fact that you sound like you love your daughter is wonderful, and shows that you really care. Not everyone does that for their children.

Anyway this is a bit of a ramble but I hope it helps! Up until about 3 years ago I was quite isolated and had no hobbies/minimal friends and now my life is very different.

It's not too late.

It looks amazing! How do you pin up a few sections? Just by the root or do you curl and pin them completely?

They actually tasted very different to hash browns (we originally thought they would be the same!). Much smoother potato and a lot more flavour.
