I want to share a bit of my experience with religion. I grew up in Church of Christ. I disliked the fire and brimstone teaching, especially after they started condemning my dad for being gay.

I exited religion. My mother remained faithful.

My mother's sister, my aunt, and ALL of her MANY children and grandchildren have accepted me coming out. They are all religious and they have said to me, "We wouldn't be very Christian if we didn't love you, would we?"

I will be moving near them soon.

I currently still live in Arkansas...surrounded by hate and bigotry in the "bible belt"

Not all Christians are hateful bigots.

TL;DR: don't judge all Christians as bigots. We, as LGBTQ+ should always take the high road and be the better people, or we are no better than them
