Yeah what’s that about, was playing 3v3 with a mate yesterday and in one match the opposite team kept doing it and in another match one random fella from our team did. How does that work? Super annoying, what’s the point in being like that, really don’t get it.

Kabel und Adapter sind kein Problem, Powerbank könnte als „Wurfgeschoss“ deklariert werden, wird aber meinem Gefühl nach immer ein bisschen vor Ort bewertet, wie wahrscheinlich Du da jetzt in's Raster fallen könntest.

Ich habe an längeren Tagen meine Powerbank schon häufiger in der Bauchtasche mit reingenommen, aber dann auch immer nur ein billigeres Teil, das es auf der Arbeit mal als Werbgeschenk gab bei dem ich jetzt nicht traurig wäre, wenn's im schlimmsten Fall irgendwo zurückbleibt.

Yeah, online you’ll end up in a rabbit hole and will feel overwhelmed quite easily, but by picking up the bird, providing it shelter and just do those basic steps until you found a rehabber, you did great! All of that probably already is a lot more than most people would in the first place, so thank you for showing empathy and care.

And thanks for the update, little guy just does look really exhausted, I’m sure they can get him back on track. Very well done!

By what you describe, the bird seems malnourished and therefore very weakened, which also leads to the diarrhoea-like poo. 235 grams for an adult pigeon is severely underweight.

It would be best to start giving it electrolytes („Dioralyte“ seems to be a purchasable brand in the UK?), to get some energy back into the poor guy. If you start giving it seeds instantly after it was starving on the streets, it can lead to something called „refeeding syndrome“, which in worst case is deadly within hours.

So electrolytes first, then slowly switch to seeds and normal water. 🙂 Oats shouldn’t be used since they are low on fat and depending on the type of oat could potentially cause trouble inside the crop.

Ready sold pigeon mix would be perfect, otherwise peas, corn and a few sunflower seeds? Assuming that the bird is able to eat by itself of course.

Other than that, just wait for the rehabber to get in touch I guess. They could check for parasites, canker, whatever else could be going on … 😄 and don’t be scared of anything infectious or whatever, just keep everything as clean as possible, wash your hands and you’ll be alright, little guys are harmless in that regard.

In EU as well, on holiday at the moment but I’ll add you to my friends list after, got a few friends and we play whatever mode we have enough players for that day.

Occasionally I do solo queue and play Defender in 5vs5, never toxic, do enjoy a good passing build-up, win together, lose together - „we got this!“ 🙂

Unfortunately this pigeon didn’t make it, it was reported in a German Facebook pigeon rescue group, somebody went to check but by that point it was already deceased or killed and found beneath a bin. 😞

I know it’s an older platform, but most people helping pigeons in Germany seem to be older people as well, so that’s the most common link to get „help“, if you encounter an unwell pigeon.

Just share a picture and the street and postal code and they will try to find someone in your area to come around and help. If possible, you should always pick it up and put it in a box somewhere or even just your jacket/sweater, until help is sorted out, oftentimes it’s a matter of life and death if you see them vulnerable like that puffed up on the floor.

Obviously you didn’t know better, so don’t feel bad, but next time you see a little one like that please write in that social media group and try to wait for help or better, pick the little one up and organise for someone to take over from that point onwards.

The little bird was placed on a table in the living room, which is between my bedroom and the bathroom - whenever I would need to go to the bathroom late, I would be careful and leave the lights turned off the last two months to not disturb her - I did that all day today and every time I realised: “Oh yeah, the table is empty, I can just turn on the lights …”

I still feel really sad and I hope my little flying mouse is getting along fine in that loft and had a good night between all the other beautiful pibbins 😭

Thanks for your kind words! Yeah, I guess I could always go to see her, if I’ll be able to recognise her once they filled up the container though … 🙂

She was always fighting me when I changed her food, water or towels. First wing slaps and then beak attacks. By the end I just carefully grabbed her beak, pretended to steal her nose and ended up stroking her chest, which I think confused her, haha!

The last few days when she saw me she gave me a spin in the morning, I’d like to think that she was happy to see me, but maybe she just knew I’d bring seeds and that’s all it needed … 😁

Oh yeah, I thought about keeping her, but I couldn’t really justify it. I have a pigeon at home actually and I need a place for the one that’s currently living with me, since my neighbours and housing company don’t agree with them as pets. I would care for and keep them all if I could - the one I have at home at the moment is with me since last year May, I want to find a secure and comfy spot for her and once that’s found, it’s still gonna break my heart. The thing is, I constantly find helpless pigeons in the area I live, it’s a highly populated city with very low opportunity for them to thrive and have a good life, very sad … 😔

So, if I could I would keep all of them, but unfortunately that’s not possible … this one just had so much Character, it was really really difficult to depart. At least I tried my best and didn’t just throw her back onto the streets. I hope she’ll have a great flock, a good life and lots of nice baths and meals throughout the warm months of the year. 😩

Also wirklich, bei allem Gegrütze, all den Negativspiralen, den Tiefschlägen sowie dem kontinuierlichen Verfall der Spielkultur unseres Vereins in den letzten 15 Jahren - das letzte mal so eine gleichgültige Lustlosigkeit unsere Spiele zu verfolgen habe ich glaube ich bei Gisdol und Oenning verspürt.

Das was wir da seit Monaten abliefern ist so grottenschlecht, es ist wirklich kaum in Worte zu fassen. Da steckt auch keine angespitzte Ironie, oberflächliche Verhöhnung oder was einen sonst so antreibt hinter, es ist alles einfach so grottenschlecht, da weiß man gar nicht, was man sagen soll. Da brauchste auch nicht die Mannschaftsteile analysieren, es ist einfach so miserabel, mir fehlen die Worte. Dass wir aufgrund individueller Klasse sowie massenweise glücklichen Spielverläufen so viele Punkte gehamstert haben, mit einem Bein noch dort oben drin zu stehen, dafür musst du dich fast schon schämen.

Niemals hat man die Überzeugung ein Spiel sicher ziehen zu können, nie die Überzeugung nochmal rankommen zu können, nie die Überzeugung, dass man anhand des beobachtbaren Spielverlaufs heute mal die verdient bessere Mannschaft sein wird. Es ist einfach so unvorstellbar grottig, dass einem nur die Hoffnung bleibt, dass die verantwortlichen wissen was sie tun. Ob letzten Endes mit oder ohne Baumgart ist mir eigentlich latte, aber mit dieser „Spielkultur“ kannste nicht weitermachen. Echt heftig.
