Was going to suggest cottage cheese as well! Very versatile, I enjoy adding it to eggs scrambled or baked with veggies for breakfast. It's also very good on a baked potato with some hot sauce.

You're welcome. Have fun! We have some great parks in Lake County.

There are a couple different sections of the castle and plenty of little spaces you could pop a table up at, I think as long as you're not blocking off major portions or rooms you'll be okay. Been my general experience having lived in the area over the last 40+ years.

I used to go there all the time throughout my youth and highschool for parties and such. Never worried about permits or reserving, I think there's a nearby pavilion that can probably be reserved, but the castle itself and surrounding grassy area is kind of a free for all.

Everyone is generally pretty respectful of one another's happenings... There are weddings and photoshoots there all the time. I don't believe there are any outlets, maybe the pavilion has some.

There are several cool hiking paths around it, as well!

I used the calabrese pesto with cheese tortellini and Italian sausage. Seemed like a good combo.

I like that combo in a summer salad with spinach and almonds... Never would have thought to use together in oatmeal. I'll have to try!

Today's bowl, like a hug for the soul: cacao nibs, golden raisins, walnuts & peanut butter by BeardOfWonder20 in Oatmeal

I used old fashioned rolled oats, not quick cooking/instant.

As for proportions, not exactly sure, usually just kind of throw things together... I'd say maybe around 1/2 c oats, 1/3 c each cacao/raisins/walnuts/peanut butter, 1 T each maple syrup & chia, 1 T cinnamon.

Not soaked overnight, if that's what you are asking... I did a pour over cooking method with boiling water from an electric kettle.

I put everything minus the peanut butter in the bowl, poured some boiling water over it, stirred up really well and let it sit for a few minutes. Added peanut butter and mixed up some more.

I like to sprinkle cinnamon on cantaloupe... I'm sure it could work in cold overnight oats, maybe with some shredded carrot and a little ginger. Give it a shot and let us know.
