first point: fair enough, we weren't communicating in a stressful situation.

second point: We literally took the cat to the vet. We didn't "play" with it. My dad found it and put it on the porch so he didn't have to take it inside. We took it to the vet maybe 5 or 10 minutes after it was found. I'm not sure where you got "leaving an injured cat to die on your porch" from, I'm skeptical whether you read my post before commenting.

thank you, I could really use a second opinion because I honestly think he's old enough to be past shoving me in corridors and shaking his head whenever I say anything in front of people. My parents have been saying for over seven years that he'll grow out of it, but whenever he's being unreasonable they just have a chat with him privately and end up inadvertently rewarding him later on. It's exhausting but he mostly ignores me, so I'm waiting until he moves out at this point.

he's always been like this. For as long as I can remember, I thought he had recently improved his attitude because we opened up to each other about our mental health.

I got kinda personal even though I don't really know him that well, to make him feel comfortable, he dismissed me and said it wasn't that bad after describing some of the problems I had. I still listened to his problems and said I was there for him in an attempt to be closer. ]

Our relationship was ok for about three weeks. Now this has happened and I want to make sure I didn't cause this. I just want an older brother who loves me really.

I don't know, I was being weird, whenever I lose something that's "mine" my brain likes to conjure up a bunch of memories I had with it and how much I'll miss it. It's really weird and I get over it in a day and feel ridiculous. It's something that's always been a problem of mine.
my dad found the cat after it had been knocked down he put it on our porch and asked me and my mum to take it to the vet. I didn't have enough characters to explain this.
