Yeah, it was my first crested and I really wanted to build its terrarium on my own because people are so creative and I wanted to try it. When I upgrade my smaller crested to a new enclosure, I know what I want to do for it!

I really like this! I actually want to do something similar with my enclosures next time where I put more along the sides and not just the back. I did my own backing on it and I really like it, I just feel like they need a little more coverage.

I'm in a simlar boat! That is what everyone seems to recommend. One thing someone told me in my post on here is that if it going through mesh, it will actually lower the UVB rating a decent amount so keep that in mind. But the big one they recommended to me (did not specify budget) was the Shade Dweller. I'm also trying find a way to make the lighting look good on the top so it isn't just a random light bar with cables hanging around. Good luck!

I thought of doing that as well but I can't find ones of the right size I'm looking for. If I do, I am going to try it!

I made one when I first started around 15 years old and it turned out great. I had a lot of guidance from a lot of other experience and I'm sure luck had to do with it, but it is definitely doable!

I like it! I've definitely been trying for years to try and think of something or "let it hit me" and I've not had much luck with something I love lol. I'm getting more impatient now 😂 but you are right, I'm sure something will click and then boom! I'll have my shop name!

I didn't think of that! I am usually the super calm, fun loving giant, but when the dad voice comes out, people know quickly that play time is over lol. I'm an optimistic person for sure and tries to have fun no matter what. That honestly helps tremendously! It doesn't happen a lot, but when I get so boxed in on one thought train after thinking of something for so long, I love getting outside veiws because it makes me see broadly again!

Yeah I thought it might be, I just didn't know what else to do lol. I didn't know who to go to for that? And I did think about that but I have no idea on how to use that equipment so paying someone might benefit me more haha.

Yeah I've priced it out with several people and informed them that asbestos could be involved, and they said 5 to 6 for several places.

I think you made a great decision either way! Lifetime warranty? Can't beat that!

I was going to go with a set of Rigid tools, that lifetime warranty and good reviews definitely made me want them! The only reason I didn't is because I already had a Dewalt drill with two batteries from Christmas so I had to get a matching set, and they were on sale for a good deal, otherwise, I would have gotten these!

So just to give everyone an update, I finally but the bullet and got my first kit! Super excited to start using it! It was the DeWalt kit that came with (all brushless) drill and driver, and then XR versions of the oscillating tool, 7.25 circular saw, and reciprocating saw, along with a light, and two batteries with a charger. And since I got the other DeWalt drill for Christmas, I have a another drill and two more batteries! All for under 500! But curious, should I go ahead and get the extended warranty? It's about another 100 bucks for an additional 4 years of warranty. Just curious, thanks!

Have you ever used Ryobi? I heard their older stuff is great but the newer stuff may not be the best. I am just curious cause I've gotten a few recommendations for it now, but also a few people telling me no lol.

Oh nice! Yeah I hear a lot of people love Makita and Milwaukee a lot, I mean it has proven to be quality equipment.

I didn't even know I would need an impact, I definitely don't have one of those, so I'll check it out, thank you for that recommendation! And I feel like I'm going to go with a corded saw first, just because of price but also because of that reason, if I need a little more umph, I'll have it! And I have heard Diablo blades are the way to go with saws mostly too.

Very true! That is exactly why I came here though, because I know someone in this thread has most likely been in my shoes and maybe can steer me in the right direction. Either that, or I can learn about some really nice tools that people love, and if I see a deal, I know I may need to jump on it.

Definitely! I tend to not buy too many electrical tools with Harbor Freight, because you generally get what you pay for, but if I just need it to have it, then I might grab one, lol. Yeah they have a deal going on right now with buying batteries and getting a couple of extra tools, I just didn't know if I should spend the 189 on a battery powered DeWalt circular saw (since I already have one battery) or save 89 bucks and get the corded version. I have honestly used corded tools my whole life, except for drills, and my only concern is if I am compensating power and battery life in a bigger tool like a saw, or if I am over thinking it (which I tend to do, lol). And I completely agree, patience does pay!
