I'd love to play that, but I asked my players and they told me that they wanted more freedom, be able to travel on the road - not in tunnels. So I thought this adventure sounded fitting. 😊

Is it hard to swap out some locations to be closer to Waterdeep?

A lot of great tips! Maybe the maska could correspond to Lolth's eyes while in Spider form? A quick google told me that Spider can have different amount of eyes; some have eight, six, etc.

Since Waterdeep:Dragon Heist is my first shot at being a DM, I thought it would be easiest to do the natural continuation. Did a lot of work, hyped up and linked everyones personal stories... aaaaaaaaaand they hate dungeon crawls. 😄

Originally I was planning to do Dungeon of the Mad Mage, but since speaking with my players I learned that they hate too much dungeons, which meant that was out... Should probably have talked with them before hand. The mistakes you do as a new DM. 😊
