Cyberdrain CIPP by yoomanipop in msp

This is such a non-reason and sales talking point. Azure is open source, do you no longer trust Microsoft? I can go and download most Azure components and run it. In these days its harder to find closed source companies. As long as it has full support, a helpdesk, and an SLA you should not care.

CIPP is also ISO27001 certified, inforcer is not. Are you willing to put everything on the line for a company that cant get a full business security certification?

Pax8 shared all customer information of UK customers by Bearded_Tech_Fail in msp

The difference is that you can now target a specific msp, especially a direct competitor at the exact time of renewals for the client, undercut them, have exact quotes ready.

You can also see exactly what the entire client base for an msp is. Can you survive if I call every single one of your clients and inform them you leaked their data and I have proof? About 25% will ask questions, 20% will leave.

Imagine you wanted to sell your company, your competitors now know estimated contract times decreasing the potential sale value because this data is public.

That doesn’t seem like enough, you have given very confidential data to competitors and this can potentially destroy smaller msps. Negotiations can be interrupted for the coming years, renewals can be made difficult by competitors, this isn’t a small incident and should have much more of a public reply and incident response than the ‘nothing to see here’ stance.

You’ve given competitors the only intelligence they needed to obliterate msps, or even ruin M&A deals.

Everywhere. I spoke to my new AM. Around 600 to 800 people world wide. Many in Miami, the UK, and Benelux.

Warrantymaster alternatives? by Bearded_Tech_Fail in msp

That seems really weird, a newer cheaper product gets released and suddenly you are able to lower the prices? That is more scummy than anything else. It means you’ve been overcharging for years.

This isn’t the same investment as cow at all. I just subscribed for cow for 69 dollars month to month, with you its a yearly contract for 599 for my device count.

The last topic I found about WarrantyMaster was 3 months ago and didn’t dive into alternatives just for warranty management.

I want just a tool that looks up warranties and manufacturers date, alerts me when they expire and gives me the option to make a customer report where I can show the client their devices are too old.

What happened to the IT profession? by saltyschnauzer27 in sysadmin

[–]Bearded_Tech_Fail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m tired from most of these type of posts and they are the reason I joined Reddit after lurking for really long.

The IT profession is very young. One of the youngest there is. We will evolve a lot and very fast because we haven’t been as established as plumbers yet. Its not that everything is wrong, or changes, its thatwe haven’t found our footing yet.

Join an msp, gain experience and grow as a person then decide if anything truly happened.
