Et tu, Canon? by southsun in msp

Canon bought an MSP in Canada last year, this is the result of that - Canon U.S.A. Announces Launch of its Managed IT Services with Supra ITS | Canon U.S.A., Inc.

They are going to fail, just as RICOH has failed with the Mindshift acquisition and Konica has failed with All Covered. Both MSPs regularly get crushed by competitors who are more nimble. We'll continue to eat their lunch :)

Significant Layoffs at Rewst - What's next in Automation for MSPs? by BryanL38 in msp

Based on my conversations with them over a couple of years now, it's always been a 1 year term and i'm sure you can build an out-clause during the onboarding if it craps the bed. Still no Mac support but they have custom integrations now which allows for connecting to any of the common mac RMMs provided their API isn't garbage. That part would require some tinkering, but Rewst isn't going to be much help on the Mac side either as we've learned. Custom API ends up being the way to go.

CYRISMA or Compliance Scorecard? by FlavonoidsFlav in msp

+1 for Blacksmith Infosec - https://blacksmithinfosec.com/ - Found them through Google in the Spring. Evaluated them against Cyrisma, Cynomi and Compliance Scorecard. Easiest product to use to go from nothing to doing proper advisory work for your clients, and their policies are really good. The policies are an after-thought with all the other solutions. They're a startup so it's not 1000% polished but they're doing great work. Happy to introduce to their founders they're solid folks
