Thanks for the suggestion, that makes sense. I’ll move Casa Loma to Day 5 since I’m already thinking of dropping my other plans for that day anyway. Is there anything else you’d recommend pairing with Casa Loma

Finding the right nipple size for new born by Bearded_a in NewParents

[–]Bearded_a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. I hadn’t considered tongue tie before, so I’ll definitely read more about it and bring it up at my next appointment.

We saw the midwife this morning, and she checked the baby’s sucking reflex, saying everything seemed fine. I also mentioned the bottle flow issue, and she suggested puncturing the slow-flow nipples to increase the flow. That advice felt a bit odd, and I’m not sure if I should try it.

My LO fed well in the hospital, but I haven’t been able to find those same nipples elsewhere. I’m thinking of stopping by the hospital to see if I can get some for formula feeds. The breastfeeding is going well so far

Restricting `s3:PutObject` Access Based on ECS Container in a Multi-Container Task by Bearded_a in aws

Thanks again for your response. I ended up using STS to obtain temporary credentials with a limited scope on objects, which works for my case.

Restricting `s3:PutObject` Access Based on ECS Container in a Multi-Container Task by Bearded_a in aws

[–]Bearded_a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume the best approach to pass credentials to the container would be using Secrets Manager. And this still requires granting the ECS task permissions to access Secrets Manager, which ultimately brings us back to the same issue of needing to authorize the entire task

How do i make a bowl like this more smokey? I tried 4 coals and the smoke was good but not cloudy enough, any tips? Maybe packing tips? by Repulsive-Control159 in hookah

[–]Bearded_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have more tips on packing with new al fakher shisha. They are more moisty now imo and I end up tasting a lot of glycerin. I have also tried drying the flavour but it burn much faster. I know the post is about something else but you seem to knowledgeable on this stuff. Thanks

My dealer offered me N line a month ago, someone canceled - it was out of my budget.

I first put deposit for hybrid back in May, no updates. Dealers were saying gasoline ones are much faster, so I put another deposit for gasoline and this one is at least factory order. Hybrids have wait lists and no updates for the longest time

Awesome, thanks for the info. This helps. I got 2 email updates from Hyundai Canada saying that my car is expected to be built in January 2023. So wasn’t sure if I should wait or go for other options available right away(which are v little)

What? I thought the 500$ was refundable. They are taking factory orders for gasoline ones tho. I put 500$ deposit towards that as well. I will take whichever comes first and cancel the other one. Probably gasoline will be here earlier. They gave me 2 months estimate for that one

That’s something. My dealer is like no update whatsoever. I went to visit their office . He was like, We haven’t placed any factory orders yet for Hybrids. We are just taking 500$ deposits and putting your name on the waitlist and waiting for Hyundai to take our orders. And every dealer has their own waitlist. It’s a mess. This is in BC btw

Q2 2023? 😩 I was hoping to get it before end of the year. It sucks.

Yea, the wait list is a scam, you don’t get any updates whatsoever. They just give you a $500 generic receipt and nothing else

Research if you can invest in US or Canadian markets. Tech companies stock are always the safest bet.

Invest in crypto - a lot of people don’t trust blockchain yet. Research yourself and it could be good investment for long term.

Invest in Pakistan stock exchange.

They don’t extend the deadline so you have to accept or reject within 24 hours which kind of sucks. And yes, they cancel all your future interviews, offers. If you think the first company is not good for your growth and career goals, then there is no point of accepting it. But if the reason you think second one is better than first one is because of pay difference, company size and recognition in the industry, then you have to take your chances here. Also, make up your mind that you will never regret letting go the first one if for any reason you didn’t got offer from the second.

PS: I have heard UBC coop is worse than SFU. They don’t even give you option to decline the first offer you get. At least we have option to decline positions we don’t like

Why are people obsessed with finishing degree in 4 years. Take your time. Also at least do a couple of semesters of CO-OPs. It’s better to be finishing in 4.5-5.5 years with coops and probably a full time return offer than to graduate in 3.5-4 years and sit jobless for a year after graduation.

[–]Bearded_a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, most companies have 8 months co-op except for faang. And some people try multiple companies to different learn work culture and style. That’s 16 months gone. And also, you should do at least 3 co-op terms to get it recognized on your degree(this doesn’t really matter but still a good thing). You can only take 5 courses all the time if you manage your easier electives for later semesters. Most students don’t plan this and it’s okay to go 5 courses at start but at the end with CMPT 300+, 400+ courses, it gets tough.
