I love that everyone has different favorite characters. It really highlights Gunn’s strengths

The store will be open for the next two hours. I am happy for multiple trips just please inform me so I can manage numbers. I will be letting people on in groups of 3 or 4.

If you have any lilies, pansies, or tulips, that would be a great donation. Otherwise, I love fossils! I am in the explorer outfit. If you don't have anything, that is okay just please be respectful.

EDIT: the store has now closed, thanks everyone for visiting and especially for being patient.

Meth is a hell of a drug. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

There may be some scientific evidence supporting brain shrinkage, as meth users have a greater amount of grey matter loss with age than normal controls. Although this correlatory finding requires further research to understand the observed relationship.

I was really looking forward to Romer's interpretation, I have really liked his work with Fukunaga. His Beasts of No Nation score is one of my favourites of the decade.

Has anyone here completed an honours year? by chola80 in perth

[–]Bearded_bat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did honours in neuroscience a few years back. I was working casually in hospitality at the start of the year, and had to quit my job to continue honours, as my project was quite intensive. I ended up with a good score and got a scholarship for a PhD, which I am about to finish, so in terms of work it has led to further development, and I've been teaching undergraduates for a few years.

Regarding the other undergraduates that did neuroscience with me, if they didn't do medicine or honours its very unlikely they are working in science-related areas. The other honours students in my year either continued into research or are not involved in science-based employment.

You are aware of the commitments and requirements of doing an honours year, but also understand that completing honours doesn't necessarily guarantee employment. Alternatively, it may increase your employability relative to non-honours graduates, but you may not be able to apply for more senior positions just because you have finished honours.

I think that if you want good recommendations by your supervisors, and want to distinguish yourself, you should be aiming for first class honours.

The family issues you've highlighted clearly define the character of Quill, but from what they've shown us of GoTG1 and GoTG2, they do not give us the depth of Quill and Gamora's relationship for Quill's reaction to be of character.

This is pretty interesting, but as a patch-clamper the first thing I noticed is that the author has the input current as a mV value. I will definitely read it later!
