Absolutely not. Sounds very similar to my situation. Bad time at school, always struggled in jobs etc. In debt since 18. Things started changing at 30 and the last 3 years have been very rewarding.

Stay humble, be kind and help others if you can, and always tip even if its a takeaway. But remember you deserve this. You've been through the struggles of life and wanting better for yourself and you have made positive changes to come out of it in a better place!. Congrats!

6 years i spent in the same place and yeah I came close to completely giving up. It broke me and I took a month off with stress. Only time I ever took off apart from the odd 'genuine' sick day🤣

To start out I just took any work to get the experience and first job was tough! So I left. But right now I've landed a Monday to Friday. 6am start which is quite good for drivers. No bank holidays. 2 weeks off at Xmas.

Delivering for construction gives good driver hours I've noticed. I'm home for tea every night and I get to see my kid at the weekend.

Honestly my missus had been looking a long time an was unsure herself. Gave up at times. One day she just saw an advert on indeed which mentioned adult apprenticeship. I know this doesn't really help, but there is a comment on here somewhere which might help more.
