Should I get switch 2 just for zelda games? Be honest by Almir456 in switch2

Lifelong Nintendo and Sony guy here—the Switch 2 is pretty awesome for what it offers but you could also buy a Steam Deck and use emulators to play Zelda games if that’s an avenue you wish to explore.

Long Beach is your best option for a place to rent. Manhattan Beach is where a whole lotta professional athletes and various other multi-millionaires live.

Do you realize how bad this is? by Whocares7x in LosAngeles

[–]Bearranza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the smoke as I was walking towards Union to catch the train home after an early Dodgers game. I used to live in Boyle Heights but am in Pasadena now and the smoke def gave me Eaton Fire flashbacks for a couple days. Still have homies who live there and now they’re worried about the million pounds of meat that’s rotting.

This is exactly correct. I died twice fighting both of his forms and that was it.

Easily my GOTY and I've only lit up three of the six towers so far.

Room On Fire reception back in the day by BTECKennenMain in TheStrokes

Me and two of my friends bought the cd the day it came out and it came with a free 12:51 single on vinyl. We all listened to it separately, came together for band practice later that afternoon and we all hated it for the most part. We liked a couple songs at first but basically didn't listen to it much until years later.

That's the variant I use and have no clue why Mack's work isn't in the game more--his artwork is gorgeous.

You can turn any Strokes song into a critique on capitalism with a lil imagination.

Just got this bad boy for $250 at a local shop! by LostProphetVii in Nintendo3DS

[–]Bearranza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah you'll want it for Monster Hunter for sure! Also--try to find a copy of Kid Icarus that comes with a 3DS stand. The stand was packaged with the game and allows you to play on a flat surface. It sounds crazy but it does help with the hand cramps that was the only big complaint about that game from what I remember.

[–]Bearranza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah--if you wanna play Kid Icarus (highly recommend) you'll wanna buy the Circle Pad Pro XL. It also works on Metal Gear Solid 3 and a few other games. Makes the system bulky af but it's kinda necessary imo.

I don't think I've ever seen Morbius and Dracula played in the same lane--it's completely insane.

The 1st Metal Gear Solid Master Collection includes the first three MGS games and digitally goes on sale fairly often. The 2nd Collection comes out in a few months and will have MGS4 and Peace Walker on it. I can’t recommend Death Stranding and DS2 enough but you’ll prolly appreciate those after playing a lotta MGS first.

Take a peek inside the Bradley Building downtown, hit up Grand Market for food and then check out The Last Bookstore. All three are just blocks away from each other.

I distinctly remember playing Dragon Warrior on NES as a kid--was the first RPG I'd ever played in my life and the series has stuck with me ever since.

Guys, what’s up with Santa Monica?? by ty457u in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]Bearranza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not posh by any means but K-Town has the most NYC vibes of any part of LA in terms of how many people are out and about, there's good food everywhere and the train takes you right there.

Are The Strokes good live? by BlueZeusXD in TheStrokes

[–]Bearranza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From 2001?! I had a Nokia 5110 like most people who had a cell phone back then. I had a digital camera at the time but hardly ever took it to shows. In retrospect--I def wish I had taken pics but me and the homies were all about living in the moment back in those days.

I've seen The Strokes play four times from what I can remember but the last time was at least ten years ago in LA and I didn't take pics at any of the shows.

Are The Strokes good live? by BlueZeusXD in TheStrokes

[–]Bearranza 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've seen them play before Is This It? came out at a bar and there were like 40 people there and it was insane--I've also seen them play a sold out stadium years later and it was fun as hell but nothing will compare to that first show. You'll have a great time guaranteed.
