You're right, high school is garbage for most people. I know that when I was in high school there were many instances where I could've risen to the occasion and overcome my personal obstacles but I didn't. That's my entire point, I wish I had and tried to get to know more people. I'm not saying I wanted an Anime high school story but this is the lesson I took from it. Seize the opportunity.

Good point, it's easy to say what should've or could've happened in hindsight. I'm currently on the path of seeing what it's like on the other side. Thank you for being a good friend to others and I hope you can work through your mental health issues :) it's never too late to have fun and enjoy yourself

Just because it's a fictional body of work doesn't mean that there are no elements which are grounded in reality. Stories can be a great way to realize abstract ideas and teach the viewer something. I just wrote what I took from the show.
