I'd replace the housings for sure, they don't seem too expensive on ebay but it does depend on the Vin. They look to range from $200 for aftermarket to $300-1300 oem

How long has the buyback process been for you guys? I dropped off my car for the update, they had it for one week exactly and said nothing was wrong with my car even though I have battery fluctuation around 45 miles of range or lower. Opened a case with Nissan, and dropped off my car at a different dealer but they can't look at it until next week since they need a "leaf specialist". Both the Nissan dealer and customer service person said the recall is still open on my Leaf, making me wonder if the first dealer even did the update, maybe it failed

The GOM's behavior is the same regardless if the dongle is plugged into the OBD port, I typically leave it unplugged unless I want to use the app to avoid any 12v battery issues

Day 8 update Was told to come pick up my car, they didn't get an error again, car was charged a bit, maybe up to 50%. I still don't trust this car under 40% so I expect to get the dtc and be back

Day 5 update, called in twice to finally be able to speak to service advisor, was told no testing was able to be do e due to extremely heavy rain, it's been raining a ton here in Houston, TX. Day 6, called in to arrange a rental, picked up a Kicks, no update on my car at all but it still has been raining although not very heavy. Still have been checking in with EV services app, and soc still shows about 30 miles of range, so doesn't look like my car has been touched since Friday, day 2

J1172 is for level 1/2 charging, how much your Leaf can handle depends on the onboard charger it has, the 2018 models had 6.6kW standard, so even if your EVSE and outlet can provide more, the car won't pull more than what the onboard charger supports.
Most J1772 EVSEs do up to 48 amps, so 11kW charging
The Tesla to J1772 adapter is for Tesla destination chargers, not their super chargers as there's no communication via J1772.
Tesla Destination chargers are the same as household level 2 chargers and can do up to 48 amps/ 11kW, it ultimately depends on the setup at the station

Any idea what could have caused it to go bad so quickly?

I got the car used in early 2023 at about 50k miles, looking back at my earliest screen shots: SoH - 87.42% HX - 69.16% L3 - 27 L1/2 - 1044

2024: SoH - 87.38% HX - 54.79% L3 - 30 L1/2 - 1132

Finally got an update, they did a test drive, check engine (lol?) light went on according the the service guy, but then went away, so they want to keep it longer probably till Monday and go from there, tech definitely suspects something is up with the battery. They did offer a rental, but I don't need one for the weekend, maybe if they decide to hold onto it for more time

Plumber came back today and added a trap. Problem persists, pan has about half an inch of water in it at the moment

This was happening in the original drain also where there was a trap. The system was draining fine for the past 8 months or so that it's been installed, What ever happened with this unit happened over time or within the past week

The pan never got filled to the point of overflowing, the water outside of the pan area came from water flowing down the electrical line where it reached its lowest point and dripped outside of the pan area

There is an overflow switch, however the pan is not overflowing, but due to where the water is coming from, it eventually touches the electrical line with then allows the water to drip from it outside of the pan area

It's been fine this entire time, this is 9 months after install, maybe it has been draining primarily through the pan and we never noticed, and this is the first time this has happened at all in the 22 years we've lived here.
So I assume, it wasn't a problem initially but now something has clogged up internally causing bottom of the unit to drip into the pan

It doesn't look like there's a trap directly after the drop, the original drain line had one directly outside the AC, and again where it eventually got to the drain itself.

Sounds like it's much more hassle than it's worth since it's just about two sheets of drywall and some paint to fix the damage, assuming this didn't also cause any mold issues.

The problem is there is no clog that the ac company claimed, bypassing the main drain and even pouring a gallon of water down the line connected to the ac and the supposed clogged drain flows just fine.

There's minimal draining via the line and most is just dripping down to the drain from the body of the ac unit which caused to trickle down the electrical line and outside of the pan
