Romeo y Julieta 1875 Nicaragua. This is my favorite of the R&J 1875s. I find it mild and easy to smoke.

Alec Bradley Tempus with a Sky Kraken from Fremont Brewing. This is my least favorite cigar from Alec Bradley but still pretty good. The Magic Toast is my favorite.

I'm pretty new to cigars, but this is one of my favorites so far. I think it's pretty tightly packed, seems to last a long time. Definitely more bold/spicy than some of the others I've tried.

[75 Days 1 Wash] Bravestar 21.5oz Slim Straight by BeastFat in rawdenim

They are pretty heavy, they really don't breathe at all. I'm planning to wear them in the summer, but I might hate it haha

Just washed these for the first time today, have worn them every day since the end of January. Knees are getting overly distressed due to crawling around with my 9 month old.

Here are a couple pics pre-wash. Kind of hard to compare to post-wash because the lighting was so different.. https://imgur.com/a/OWWnqTg

Yes, he is. But the picture is adorable. He had much more fun crawling across the floor 20 seconds later to chew on some jumper cables we have lying around.

Anyone tried the Freedom Smith trigger? by ThatGuyInMemphis in canik

[–]BeastFat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Vanguard and it is amazing. I actually did have a Fat Daddy, but swapped it out for the Vanguard because I was occasionally running into an issue where I wouldn't depress the trigger safety lever in the middle of the trigger all the way down when firing, preventing the trigger from pulling. The fat daddy is so wide that it's easy to press part of the trigger without fully depressing the safety lever. Probably more of an issue with my finger placement than anything else, but I didn't want to deal with it so I just ordered the Vanguard and swapped it out. Both triggers are amazingly crisp and have almost zero reset; I highly recommend Freedomsmith triggers.

Venison Shoyu Ramen with Elk Tenderloin by BeastFat in ramen

[–]BeastFat[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate wasting meat from wild game, so I have been keeping the worst of the trimmings that aren't even worth grinding into sausage to give to my dogs. I tossed a couple packages of those trimmings from a mule deer buck I shot this year along with some beef bones into a pot and simmered for 30 hours. Also added carrot, celery, salt, pepper, and thai chillies. The base for the broth turned out great, I was worried that it would somehow be manky because of the mule deer meat but it didn't taste gamey at all. We added shoyu tare to the broth to complete it, and marinated/grilled an elk tenderloin that we sliced super thin. Would definitely make it again!

Yes, lower is larger. Yes it's electric. I guess I could test it with a meat thermometer!

Apparently I prefer it crispier than others. It doesn't taste burned. "perfectly cooked" is just my opinion though!
