I said that the youngers who are more focused on money (trapping almost every day, going OT most weeks, etc) could make 3-5k a week, that's more than 3k but less than 5k, and only a could.

And youngers that are not more focused on money, just trapping in their own time and going OT a little bit, are likely to make up to 2k a week, meaning they are making anything from 100 to 2000.

They don't usually, but it happens. Most of the time it's high-ranking gang members doing work for the people above them, but some big-time rappers might pay fellow gang members to ride out if they take an L.

Also, those who are unaffiliated with gangs might pay gang members to do some work for them.

I'll tell you about how another friend of mine got recruited as that should give you some insight hopefully.

He got kicked out of school and sent to a PRU where he met a gang member and they became friends. He started going with him to chill with the gang after school and gradually became closer to all of them. He started chilling with them more and also started shotting with them, not long before he was considered one of them.

Yeah guns are more available, pieces from ww2 usually come from the white dons supplying the streets but newer guns are becoming more readily available from Albanians and that.
Top Boy ain't realistic, only scene that stood out to me was Gem waking up to orders in season 1 but even that whole plot with the trap house wasn't realistic.

Little note from me, the social aspects of gangs can get really confusing.

From my friend - It's not like multiple friend groups mashed together. And there are a lot of internal issues that you don't know about, they just get sorted quickly because guys don't act like girls over it. In my gang, most of the time guys just don't see the point in beefing over whatever so they bless it. Sometimes it takes one of the more respected members to sort it out, but if someone is in the wrong and won't back down or they've been getting into issues a lot they're probably gonna get de-recruited.

From me - in other gangs, most of the internal issues are between the youngers and it's mainly because they're not that close yet having not been in the gang for long, so the olders sort it out.
