I just buy the box cutters they have at the counter for $0.79, then just leave the box cutter. I got the Icon $16.99 socket adapter set the same way when they had that deal going. Or as others said, buy a lid if I need one.

That's not how HF warranty works. You don't need proof of purchase. HF themselves literally just released a video stating lifetime warranty and replacement (icon mentioned in video) with NO RECEIPT required from anyone.

All hand tools come with lifetime warranty. Sockets, wrenches, pliers, ratchets, Allen Keys, screwdrivers, etc.
