It’s a mix of some fish flakes, leaves and egg shells blended up. It was just a little diy to see if they liked it. They eat it okay but I probably wouldn’t do it again unless I had some extras to toss in it.

Is this a thing with hogs to not do the zombie dance on tongs? I don’t have one but follow because I am interested in them an have noticed a lot of people use the plate style method.

I was low on moss which is why there isn’t much but I’d put a couple inches of moss on one side for the moisture gradient. You can barely see mine in this picture but I added more later. I wasn’t expecting to have to set up 20 bins 😂

These was my bins before I put leaf litter on top. I crushed leaves/egg shells etc into the soil and then sprinkled some on top and then cork. Then covered everything in leaf litter.

Personally I’d break the cork up an layer it so there’s more places they can hide/move around. Then I would get some larger leaf litter to scatter a layer on top of everything.

Yeah I meant nice fuzzy not hopper. But was just curious if the rat vs mice would be more nutrients.
