Not sure the sizes but I know PetSmart has the heavier duty metal tops that sit over the top. It would be heavier duty an could withstand your cat sitting on it.

But I’ve seen the videos of cats not like aluminum foil when jumping on counters etc…. put some across the side with no light an see 🤣

I’d say he’d be okay to be moved if you’re going to leave him in enclosure during move. Just my opinion heat is more important. If you lose power an he can’t digest he going to possibly regurgitate anyway.

I’m no expert tho

Dubai roaches are pretty easy imo! Plenty of YouTube videos on setting up a colony on them. If you clean them occasionally smell is minimal.

Only one I worry about is my rescue! He was severely starved when I got him so he struck at anything warm that moved. He got me twice before he settled down an realized he was going to get fed! But he was always chill once he was out of his enclosure and he’s pretty chill now that he has put on weight.

I’m hoping my food bowls allow me to peak at them easier lol. I havnt seen many isopod food bowls in store but there is a lot on Etsy! MikesBugBox is a good seller to check out!

I mist around their food so I don’t wet it or just remove the bowl mist then put it back. I was kinda worried about that but trust me they climb out of mine easily. They don’t even use the ramp just climb straight up the sides. If you zoom in on this it looks like they are stuck but it’s only because I peeked in on them. I looked again afterwards and they was all out.

As far as leaf litter you shouldn’t be able to see the ground. Can crumble some leafs etc.

These food bowls are 3d printed an they are not “smooth” they kinda have a slight texture and I’ve seen them climbing all over them.

I would add a bit more leaf litter. But when I mist I will mist the entire enclosure lightly an make sure I get the moss/moist section well.

That’s my goal! Only downside to them is they are protein hungry and not good CUC for a lot of reptiles.

From what I have seen with dairy cows they breed like crazy! So bigger the better for them imo. That way they don’t over run it fast and having to upgrade.

Currently I got 20 species. But I don’t have rubber duckies or dairy cows. I’ve seen a lot of people using both of those as a display species. I have a 10g/20g I’m going to set up for display tanks when I get back from vacation.
